  1. Really been feeling age taking it's toll lately....lower back aching from the fall I took from 1 of the last motorbikes I owned 13 yrs. ago... finally got the led outta my arse today & took the Mullet for a spin up to (of all places) the Elgin marble orchard in between spitting rain sessions... Cool to still see a few snow patches left in the hills just outside of town... View south down Cemetary rd. hill, where I've seen an indicated 38mph...Twice Best part was my lower back stopped aching after a good ride today...
  2. I used to work w/ a guy who ran with the HA's back in the 60's....the "Berdue" chapter where Sonny Barger's from...& where he got his club name of Animal. He also did 3 tours of duty in Viet Nam as a medic....some crazy-ass stories that guy had!...doing China White in his coffee every morning & EVERY room in his house had a loaded gun in it. He had a degree in AutoCad & was a helluva Cad jockey
  3. Call Guiness!....the blue dildo is out & about...& not a car park in sight!...
  4. A cordless leaf blower...aka Industrial Hairdryer is a No-Brainer.... None of that arsing about w/ cords or hoses.
  5. Off to the dump to unload a bed full of yard debris this morning....then back for a spin on the Mullet. Yesterday's weather was beautiful...more of the same today.
  6. Excellent to hear she's ok....another notch in the learning curve.... She can now understand the term: Dress for the Ride & not the destination
  7. I don't watch TV either....got a nice TV for watching dvd's on occasion though...can't see paying good money only to have to wade through countless hours of adverts
  8. Lovely scenery....blows away any shots we've seen the blue dildo in...
  9. Like an old boy I used to work with once told me: "Dynamite comes in small packages"....
  10. Breakfast of Champions....
  11. There's something very "Oximoronish" about a rider in full race leathers on a bagger...
  12. Depends on WHO you ask... might need to take down those tabloid pics taped to your mirror...
  13. We have that same type of sign at our favorite watering hole here in Elgin....
  14. Nice one @Saul....cool collection of hardware.
  15. Way to go Fred.... looks like a blast...makes me miss the fun I had on my XR's. Maybe a possible BOTM entry?...
  16. Been in the mid 50f's the past 3 days...& not a cloud in sight So I've been running my chainsaw through the back yard, cutting up dead fallen limbs of a few trees....which is a bit challenging at times trying to hang onto it w/ my hook....but I prevailed & got my 4x4 wheelbarrow (truck) filled up with debris that I'll be able to empty at the local dump next Saturday....for FREE. It also felt great to get a coupla Rides in as well... With the fast melt we had recently, there's been a few signs of erosion around....makes me glad I live where I do & not down near the river as it's quite full & flowing pretty quickly. The hillside at my place is so full of tree stumps & roots, that erosion doesn't have much effect. The hill on the right side of these tracks, showed a few spots where run-off was apparent...yesterday there was a coupla rather large rocks that let go & rolled down onto the tracks...somebody obviously moved them so later in the year, the excursion train can pass through w/o issues...
  17. I used to work w/ a guy who would eat Onion sandwiches for lunch....needless to say, it was like co-worker repellent after lunch each day!
  18. That Krauser was interesting.... & the RE5 rotary Zook you don't see many of-- @ least over here. I did a little spannering once, on a GTS that was at the bike shop I used to work for... Interesting bike.
  19. Already got some garden work done....sharpened the saw, then cut up some fallen tree limbs & collected them into the bed of the Chevy....then had a can of Irish Death to wash down the sawdust. Now waiting on some bacon-wrapped chicken bits to finish cooking for lunch Definitely getting a Ride in as it's a lovely 55f & sunny today... Looking to do the same again tomorrow...
  20. Like there's not already....
  21. You weren't being nosey Nute....its just human curiosity...no worries. A big part of my recovery was proving to myself that I could still follow through & finish w/ some of my projects.... like rebuilding a 5.0 ltr. V8 from the crank up & installing it into my truck....as well as doing the same w/ my '88 XT 600....all with these.... My 2 oldest grandsons now own those vehicles....which was another turning point in my recovery....learning to Let Go of the old life & embrace the new.
  22. 12 yrs. ago I was Visiting my sick wife...caught MRSA through a contact of some type. I was born with a vascular birth defect, so MRSA attacked it hard....almost killed me. I was in a 3-day coma before I got sent to a burn center at another hospital...spent 7 weeks there while they amputated 1/3rd of my right foot, all the toe tips on my left foot, & 4 fingertips on my LH. Racked up over a million $$ in bills...which I never saw, as the hospital that I caught MRSA in paid for EVERYthing including my prosthetic arm & hook. Still feel quite blessed to be here & owe it all to God's grace. Really liking to still be able to ride my Ebike. Skiing will be attempted next season after I dial in my equipment.
  23. I can absolutely relate to that @Nute I've seen the inside of hospitals enough for 3 lifetimes...I get the eeby-jeeby's just being a visitor in them. I remember those on my feet back when they amputated my toes...recognized them straight away. I had that same mentality regarding the Bike & Skis....Just don't try to recover too quickly my friend....it sometimes can come back & bite you in the ass. Speedy recovery mate....I'll be praying for ya...
