My boy is 21 today. Haven't seen him yet.

Very nice, are you tall enough for one
-
Same as Shadows red one, very popular bikes. Cheapish top buy and still a Honda so won't be worthless after a couple of years.

Yep all new stock from the last time I was there. They sell a shitload of bikes in that place, even this time of year they turn the bikes over. I was talking to the salesman back along and he said they sell every CB500F and X they can get their hands on. Also 125's walk out the door he said. The bigger stuff takes longer but it does go.

Twas but had thermals and heated grips so was bearable.

Beautiful cold and clear weather here today so it seemed daft not to go out for a bimble while I had the chance. I first headed up to Damerells on the off chance they had one of the new Honda CB350’s in yet. No such luck but it was worth a look. I notice the new colour for the CB125F is black, they had 10 in the showroom spread around. Some new interesting stock in I do like this model Bonniville, not sure about the colour but a a nice bike nonetheless. Lovely VFR only done 12k Bandit After Damerells I headed off to the North coast. Stopped at Tregonetha to change my gloves and pod cast. Then on to Padstow for a mooch about. Very pretty village but full of tourists even in early December. Then headed off to Trevone for a look. No bugger there Decided to head home then, through Wadebridge, Bodmin, Lanivet, Bugle, Stenaless and St Austell. Stopped in St Blazey for fuel then back to Fowey. Main roads were fine but the more rural roads were slippery with all sorts of debris. More tip toeing around than bimbling but fine as long as I rode to the conditions. 61mpg when I filled up and that probably reflects the conditions, no blasting around, just not safe to do it. Great way to spend a few hours.

I don’t know to be honest the bike had a new sprocket and chain set 100 miles before I bought it. It is an O ring chain and seems to be decent quality, hasn’t stretched in the 3.5k miles I have put on the bike. To be honest the noise wasn’t terrible it’s just the bike is pretty quiet especially with the touring screen so I probably notice things more. I heard a rattle a few weeks ago which turned out to be the keys. Not that you can tell from the photo, chain was originally gold but snow foam took the colour out of it.

Had a case of that the day I was out around North Cornwall. All good for 80 miles or so but in the last 10 miles I could hear this sort of whirring from the back of the bike, started quiet but became more intrusive. Anyway I stopped and checked out the rear end, nothing amiss, no play in the bearings or noise when spinning the wheel, suspension all where it should be, brakes as they should be, tyre pressures right on, tyres all good, chain tension good. Couldn't find anything obviously amiss. Rode home and it was still there. Anyway that evening I thought about it and worked out that I hadn't lubed the chain for the last 4 tankfulls. So about 650 miles. Next morning I cleaned the bike, cleaned and lubed the chain, went for a spin and the noise was gone. Two things: I was relieved that the noise was gone but pissed off that I had missed doing such obvious maintenance. I am normally very good at that sort of thing and lube the chain every second tankful but obviously had a brain fart this time.

Been out for a bimble while there was a break in the weather. Bit like Shadow I was getting stir crazy. Nice to be out there and nice to remind myself what a cracking old bike my CBF is. .
-
Shadows been out for her maiden voyage since the RTA. Bikes all good but she did comment that the foot controls felt different but understood when I told it was because her foot pegs were no longer bent . Still I am happy she is back out there with her confidence intact. Loves her new HJC LID Back out where it belongs

Twat, my wife is a hairdresser and I have two daughters with long hair
-
I may have a go when it's dry but Shadow is so chuffed to have her freedom back she isn't obsessing about it quite so much. But that could change, she is a teenage female after all.

True and true, I voted for the KTM Pervert.
-
It's clever, be interesting to see the price. I would still have an Asgard if I had somewhere to put it. I think they are pretty well priced for what you get.
-
Yes she is chuffed. But going through typical teenage dramas so a bit distracted and sick so not really a ray of sunshine at the moment. One good thing she has kicked the boyfriend into touch. Didn't mind him to be honest, I didn't like the rides home from Luxulyan in the dark, dodgy road.
-
Well all fixed. Shadow is in bed with flu so no riding today. And yes Fred I refused to drill the new screen so I told Shadow she will have to live with the creases.
-
Well it is dildo colour, stunning bike but what a fucking colour
-
Congratulations for winning, You could get a plaque made for the bike. I didn't vote for you but glad the Dildo got some love.
-
What you doing? I working tonight and Sunday but have Saturday off. Aside form that I will be getting Shadow's bike back on the road. Prolly watch some rugby tonight and tomorrow weather dependent. Tis Kitt Hill bike meet on Sunday dunno if I will go this time but again weather dependant.

Been fiddling with and swearing at expensive plastic all morning. Surprisingly fiddly and impressively strong when back together, given the impact I would have expected it all to be in 1000’s of pieces but it held up well considering. just about ready to put everything back on Shadows bike and now it’s pissing down FFS Also still have to fit the new footpegs and throttle grip I actually repainted the crash bars and exhaust yesterday as well as fitting the new number plate and touching in a few scratches. She is down with D&V so no pressure from her, thank goodness, at this moment. Still got to move her headset from the old helmet to her new one as well. Be glad when she is back on the road, she has not mentioned it more than once every half hour for the last 8 days. £750 wrapped in cardboard Repaired dash back on and working
