    Pedro ?

Have you been to the Azores? Looks a pretty cool place. Ponta Delgada
  2. Fuck me a grown up post form you, thats rare. Seriously though thank you for the effort you put into this place, along with the Angry Pirate and Petulant Portuguese you are all doing Pete proud. I thought of several things to say about Pete, but in essence it is simply this, I found him interesting, liked him and genuinely miss his take on life. I wish the silly Welsh Twat didn't die. It must be some sort of self flagellation as to why I keep coming here but it is still the first site `i check. everyday. I have thought long and hard about why I like it here and it is obviously the savage humour and the irreverence for practically everything. Can't get that many places, we collectively just have to convince more people that they actually want that in their lives if we want the place to grow. Not entirely sure that is possible What I want to do biking wise. Don't want a third bike, would like something different to learn about and play with but can't bear the thought of parting with either of my bikes. Bit of a weird circular thought process that spins around in my head. I want to make some longer trips around the UK, perhaps even Ireland but wether I actually do it rather than pontificate about it will be seen. Collectively did 7500 miles last year, want to do more this. I want to do some longer ride reports and make a few Youtube video reports. I have another teenager who wants me to teach her to ride, so looking forward to doing that. I have got a lot of singing planned with my group and have plans to form a quartet. I am going to kick my choir into touch, to many wealthy retired blow ins wanting to sing Hamilton and Lion King songs for my liking. I have nothing in common with them. I don't know if I care enough to join another Choir, only couple that suit me and what I like are Mousehole Male Voice or Red River Singers but they are just to far west for regular practice/concerts for me. 50 and 40 miles each way. Much as I genuinely enjoy my job I am going to have to at least give up a few shifts or maybe find something else, working overnight is playing havoc with my health. Fuck knows what else I could do, I don't want to or can afford to retire . I know boring diatribe that probably no one will read but the question was asked
  3. BOTM is a focus for all sorts of banter and whinging, I think you are doing a good job with it. Some people enjoy the moaning and negativity, it's their form of entertainment, don't hand them a victory that will diminish the forum as a whole. British humour can be dark and destructive.
  4. Quiet day here, both daughters pissed last night and hungover this morning. Boy fresh as a daisy as he worked last night and had to start again at 11:00 am. I've got this fucking lurgy chest infection going around so not doing much. Was going to go out and bolt stuff to my CBF but!
  5. Actually had to fix something on my CBF today. I had noticed that the indicators were being a bit fussy recently but I put it down to switching to winter gloves and clumsy fingers. Well today I went out for a bimble and wore my summer gloves as it is a balmy 10C here today, indicators stopped working altogether. So when I got home I had a good look. Hazards were working so not bulbs or indicator wiring or flasher unit, probably the switch. I took the switch to pieces and is was a bit gummed up but not looking to bad, blasted it with contact cleaner and drenched in ACF 50, all working perfectly. Gotta love a Honda When I was cleaning out my older 10 x 10 shed a couple of weeks ago, which is going to be my bike store, I found some of my old biking gear that I had basically forgotten about. Amongst the stash was some old West German dispatch rider boots. Got Volki made in West Germany written on them. Anyway they were soaked and probably had been for quite some time I was about to ditch them when my older daughter, who would call herself an Equestrian/Groom, said she could sort them and bring them back which she did. Wore the Volkies out today and while a bit tight to begin with they relaxed and were very comfy. Chuffed to bits with them and the care my daughter put into them. i have no doubt I will be stung for saddle soap/leather balm products for her in the near future. I need to get an older Aircool BMW to match the Volkies now. Not sure my Mrs will go for it but worth a try.
  6. Think Freddie Dobbs and his ilk and that will give you the picture.
  7. Good idea, I might stump up for one for the fam as no one is going out as far as I know. Pubs are always full of red trouser wankers down here on their holibobs.
  8. I didn’t expect you to for a minute. In fact I am surprised Six did.
  9. I got a dark blue flat cap on a couple along from matey with a Xmas pud hat
  10. I’m in there. https://www.facebook.com/CornishChristmasHarmonyChoir/videos/923596419480836/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  11. You do get shit conductors and shit choristers doesn’t change how it is supposed to work. Choir discipline is in direct proportion to its quality in most instances.
  12. Alright I will attempt to explain in simple terms, although I doubt you will read it. Most choirs sing in harmony, in simple terms they all sing the same song to a slightly different set of notes or tune. Normally 4 parts/groups/gangs/ collections of voices in a male voice choir. Basses, Baritones, 2nd Tenors and Top Tenors. They mostly sing different notes in the same song mostly together, although they often start and stop singing at different times in the same song to create harmony/dynamics and range. The bod waving his hands at the front is controlling this, as well as the dynamics (volume) and Tempo (speed). It's a very difficult thing to do. Now are you any the wiser?
  13. Off to Falmouth to take part this morning.
  14. Had one of those FFS moments today. During the week I needed a multimeter and battery charger. Couldn't find mine despite hunting high and low Had a sense of humour failure and ordered new from Amazon. Guess what I found today Not to pissed off and the new battery charger is much better than my old one. Oh and spent two hours unblocking the drain after lifting the manhole to find a good foot deep of jobbies floating. All clear now but if I have. a least favourite job that's it. I've had a great day so far.
