  1. I had a very similar experience with Plymouth Triumph.
  2. Thinking back amongst my biking mates bikes they sort of came in groups. There were several GS250T’s but only one GSX250 that had a Dunstall pipe and fairing. Loads of RD250D/E’s one KH250 Loads of CB250N’s and one X7 all L plate specials. I suppose we bought whatever Damerells and Jacob’s Suzuki sold in numbers. When passing our tests some went 2 smoke Yams and others went GS550E others CX500A mostly but there was the odd other bike. I do remember Kawasakis were pretty thin on the ground. The way the roads here were and to some extent still are it was all point and squirt stuff never getting much past 60 before running out of room. Very favourable to the smokes. If we ventured as far as Liskeard by pass or Plymouth things evened up a bit. I also remember the next bunch of lads below us in age all had GP100s DT’s and TS’s. Like a load of noisy smoky wasps, caught by the new 125 L plate laws.
  3. I watched the first couple of episodes.
  4. Just watched Easy Rider again for the first time in years. That film hasn’t aged well, although the music was good.
  5. 350LC was 47 bhp same as your CB. Quite a bit lighter though. I remember my mate trading his LC for a Powervavle, that was a whole different animal. I also remember trying and failing to stay with them on my RD400D. The GS550 and CX500 were popular around here then, they were no match for the LC’s.
  6. Just bought this mini compressor type thing to carry on my bike. Seems to work great, longevity will be the measure of it. But so far pleased, only £18 cheapie from Ebag so not the end of the world if it doesn’t last for years.
  7. Well I have been out on my bike this morning. Just had to pop down the market to get some bits. Think the wind here is keeping most of the bikes in.
  8. I love that album but that not the same Lily we sing.

Any of that at all familiar?
  10. I bloody love Bosch. Watched all of it, some of the series twice. Cool music, great scenery and filming. Love Bosch's house. Get the feeling Titus Welliver is a bit of a tit in real life but the series is great. I have also listened to several Micheal Connolly's audio books.
  11. Watched Holding on ITVX last night. I loved it, bit of cross between Father Ted, Young Offenders and a semi serious detective drama. Based in Graham Norton's book and filmed in Western Ireland.
  12. Been watching a bit of Apple TV, as I recently got a free 3 months subscription to it. I am glad it is free because there is no way I would pay for their content. The Greyhound film is good but I have yet to find much else I like. I will be cancelling way before the free trial is over.
  13. Working overnight tonight, got a biking clinician so he is good company. Tomorrow, I am singing in a concert with the group I run, Lankelly Shout, and Sunday I am working overnight again. Hope to get two more walks in and some time on the Hornet as well, depending on the weather. Busy busy busy. Oh and Redruth Christmas Choir Practice on Sunday afternoon.
  14. Just found this: People also ask Are all motorcycles exempt from ULEZ? Unlike the congestion charge, which doesn't apply to motorcycles, bikes are subject to the same £12.50 per day ULEZ charge as cars if they don't meet the right emission standards. If it's registered in 2007 or later, the chances are your bike is exempt but you can do an instant check via the TFL website here.30 Aug 2023
  15. Don’t know the details but I have seen ads for bikes saying Ulez compliant. Never looked into it as I can’t see it effecting me, happy ostrich on my new bike with head firmly in the sand.
  16. I love the Ulez dinos as well https://uk.news.yahoo.com/woman-fined-clean-air-zone-van-back-of-breakdown-truck-090055774.html?soc_src=social-sh&soc_trk=ma
  17. I am not yet mate (58) but I have had a camera up my bung hole in the past, obvs not by choice
  18. I would have thought they would have warned you if they were going in, so to speak. I have all sorts of fact sheets given to me when I was in to have it done.
  19. Don't need one when you have a boot.
