  1. There was one at the Ducati dealer 30km away before releasing, to go and have a sit. I didn't go, made myself unaware of it. Saw one a couple of days ago, on the street in Algarve, it looked nice in real life. Thing is, in order to buy one you have to deal with Ducati dealers, I hate them here.
  2. Thank you for asking, yesterday was awful and the day ended with me pretty feeling pretty low. So much that I'll leave the report till I get back and have a quiet time in front of the fireplace to write it properly. However, today I did point the bike south and did a few hours riding outside the main roads with very little need of navigation from my phone, that's just how cool and experienced I am. Will see how it goes tomorrow. Tomorrow there's going to be monkeys, and the day after that maybe camels and dunes. I'm not stopping a ton of times like I used to, and it is very weird doing this alone.
  3. Head is fine, the rest I don’t know… Waiting on the ferry now
  4. From what gets posted around here, all the men around drive on winter tires and all the women with big smiles!
  5. Like i said, you can spot that from a tiny picture in a phone
  6. This means: "I got on and had friend bring me motorcycles every two years in vans!"
  7. Bloody hell, even the chinese nowadays can't be chinese anymore without being copied and bettered at their own thing. Hard days!
  8. I wonder what the public opinion nowadays would think of that practice.
  9. You can see how stiff that frame is from way over here, just look at that front tube
  10. I like horses: petting them on the head and feeding them apples and sugar, riding them is best left to other people
  11. 29000 miles is nothing for that engine.
  12. They’re refunding you? You’re not dealing with real chinese!
  13. I know nothing about kids or parenting, but good on you for defending her as that’s what she absolutely needs above all else. Maybe she needs a trailbike or a motocross bike after that, too!
  14. I rode to the Algarve, and am now getting slightly drunk before going to my room and posting a report. Fucking winter, can’t believe I’ve eaten and am almost over with my wine and it’s still almost not even dinner time. I’ll be pretty upset if I catch britishness from here! There’s still time untill it gets deep though, sat around a place trying to get a pre meal aperitif but it was full of drunken brits at 18:30
  15. Avaricious is a great word, you read them less often now, good job @MooN! I completely agree, I see this often, companies achieve a nice balance between their production capacity, their managing capacity, and the market they want, suddenly everything is going nice and the whole thing is about to hit cruise speed when some fucktard decides to try and turn it up to 11 or 12. I think most companies are driven by quick horny greed instead of brains.
  16. I meant exploitation of brits via third parties, not dealing with them
  17. There’s a market there for you!
  18. Because you’re cheap, that’s why! In the end something that could have costed 90 ended up costing 120.
  19. I like that generation CBR600, the yellow one in the background. They’re such a good quality bike engine wise, and the proportions of them always make me think they’re not too big or too small, they’re just right!
  20. I know, but I am not really addicted to either so I can cope well with eating what locals eat without trying hard to accommodate for my vices (which would be wine, not pork )
  21. Update on my mudguard extension. I rode 300km on very wet motorways and there is a significant difference on the amount of water that gets thrown into the back of my upper legs. It’s a success as far as I’m concerned, compared to stock. Riding in rain still sucks!
  22. What I have planned is tomorrow’s dinner: pork and red wine, two things in short supply for the few days after
  23. I am pumped in a mix of unpleasant apprehension and excitement. Spent the day at home, did a little work in the morning, plus washed the bike, packed my stuff only waiting for the laptop to go in, all ready to go tomorrow. Then tried to book a ferry only for FRS's system to be acting up, called them and ended up booking one for thursday. This way I avoided the stress of technical difficulties and tomorrow will leave the house using tiny roads instead of the motorway. I'll have a first night still in Portugal after riding either to the inner Alentejo or the Algarve, depending on the weather. Then on Thursday it'll be a quick 350/400km ride to the ferry that I'm going to try and board at 12:00 Portuguese time, might be tight and if late I'll spend 4 hours waiting for the next one. Also called the hotel where Maria passed away to try and arrange a short visitation, not wanting to commit to a room before being there communication was being very difficult as the Moroccan on the other side wasn't at all getting what I wanted. I'll leave it to the moment when I get there. It's half a mile after getting out of the boat so I can't help but face that head on. After all that I had a shower and prepared for dinner, to then realize it was only 15:30. My mind is absolutely racing and it seems today is taking twice as long, I'll have some wine tonight! Also realized I can't pack worth shit! We used to take the same stuff in double, but somehow I'm ending up with the same space used for what should be way less
