  1. So I suppose you’ll invite Ms Mae to join up here?
  2. It’s what self flagellation looks like in the real world Pete
  3. Spent today picking up the old FZ6N. Got a lift up to Alicante by a good mate that owed me a favour and then spent a few hours making my way back home across country. Some great roads and scenery but I was having far too much fun to stop and take photos. Whilst at the dealers I had a browse around their showroom and saw a VERY nice KTM 990 SMT…….. not particularly cheap and the photos don’t do it justice but in the flesh it’s drop dead gorgeous (a bit like me apparently ). Mmmmmmmmmm
  4. I stayed outside but I can report he was inside for quite some time. Looked quite flustered when he came out and a little ruffled.
  5. Just had the dealer message me to say the power failure/idnition problem has been sorted and also they’ve changed the front fork oil as it was very old and not enough in the forks so I can collect it later this week.
  6. The bike looks a bit handy
  7. Idiot. No sympathy for people like that.
  8. I know it’s mad, some of my mates in the UK have spent over £5k for their bikes, one of them paid closer to £7k……..it’s ridiculous
  9. You trained her well Yoda
  10. Grow a pair and you’ll find it easier
  11. I’d really like an ebike but funds don’t allow at the moment so I’ll just have to keep on sweating . The picture is deceptive as it’s still 30 Celsius but just cloudy………perfick!
  12. With a lack of motorised two wheeled transport I had to dig out the old mountain bike. Not quite home yet but close enough to have a cold pint
  13. Same where I live, mostly decent people but no matter where you go you’ll find arseholes……….there must be a few where you are Pete?
  14. If they’re legal and registered they have to pay a self employed tax every month even if they haven’t earned a penny (it’s called something like ‘autonomo’)………Pete probably has to pay it too. I’ve been told locally that’s about €300 per month. Spanish plumbers etc tend to be cheaper than ex-Brits and many of the latter are not properly qualified (known locally as Ryanair Builders/plumbers etc)
  15. You probably need less than you think if you adjust your expectations a little. We did and it’s worked out okay. Obviously we can’t change the car/bike whenever we fancy it and in fact buy new anymore but there are some big advantages to living over here. A few disadvantages obviously but on the whole it’s been a positive move. Good luck with whatever you decide but for gods sake don’t leave it too long or you may come to regret it.
