  1. I can't remember who they were but they f*cked the forum
  2. Yes, the forum is basically what was the original XRV forum. Here's some clown auctioning off stuff given by the members to raise money for the forum.............
  3. You would be most welcome Sofia, I would even make your a mug of tea
  4. If it's the forum I'm thinking of then the problem has been addressed .
  5. We only just found out it was up this morning, it was filmed a while ago
  6. What a shame, you could have used the old 'Jellied Eels' chat up line
  7. Was there any sign of a lorry and trailer in the ditch by the layby ..............
  8. So you went to the first layby and then turned around and came back ?
  9. Does Karen have a gas mask
  10. I'm really quite excited to get out on it to see what it's like. It's no enduro bike but it should be a lot more manageable than the Rally .
  11. The last thing on the list was to fit my GPS mount. I tried to find a spare connector with a switched live for a power feed but the loom is quite spartan for a road legal bike. In the end I decided to tap into the side light wiring with some posi-taps and then managed to find room on the bars to position the mount .............. While i was looking for power I noticed that the headlight was not working. After testing the bulb holder and switch gear I traced the fault back to the headlight relay. Mr Yamaha would like to releive you of £83.68 for that part but a rummage through the stores in work came up with an indentical relay from Signor Ducati and after fitting that the headlight was fine ................. So that's it for now. I need to get it out on the lanes now to see what it rides like and if anything else needs to be done
  12. Next up I needed a rack so I had somewhere to carry tools, tubes, tyre levers etc. There wasn't a great deal of choice so in the end I opted for some Chinesium from Ali Express.............. Fitting this required the removal and drilling of the rear mudguard. Very kindly Yamaha saw fit to mark where you had to drill on the underside of the guard .................... Then the spacers (supplied) were added to line up with the subframe.............. Two of the supplied bolts were not quite long enough to facilitate a locking nut underneath so I ordered some 10mm longer stainless bolts and then it was done ................
  13. So about a month ago I came across this bike for sale, I'll admit that this model was not on my radar at all but after going to have a look at it I bought it there and then. No matter how good a secondhand bike is there are usually some things you need to address , whether that be personal preference or something not working quite right. I have bought this bike primarily for trail riding , it probably won't be a dual purpose bike like my CRF250 Rally was as the Donkey can fulfill that role. So with that in mind there were some things it needed to be right for me. First and foremost was a change of handlebars as the O/E bars were too narrow and not high enough so a Pro-Taper CR High was ordered along with some SW Motech 20mm risers and Acerbis X-Factor hand guards...... The O/E bars were stripped of their belongings ................... and the new items fitted. It all went together without too much fuss...................... and then some Oxford Advanced heated grips were fitted...............
  14. That looks like a great area to ride, I reckon the Donkey would lap up those bends and rough surfaces

    New Toy

    Incorrect, that's a Z12 , mine is a Z11 . Just goes to show what a crap car salesman you are ........
  16. Yebbut, there's a difference between puddle dodging and trail riding ...............
  17. Parked illegally, what a Gammon
  18. and 'what does it weigh' .............
  19. Well yes and no. At least the England game was close, this is turning into a walkover
  20. Sooooooooooooooooooooooo , does this mean you might actually ride your bike
  21. It's an Enduro bike, if you stick to the (race) schedule you'll be changing oil every two seconds but it's not really needed for trail riding. It sounds like you've made the right call Fred, especially if you don't have to change the suspenders .........
  22. It's probably 25 years since I walked through there. When I was 15 I used to cycle down there and fish the river so some good memories of the area.
