Yes @boboneleg there is a emergency release cable in the storage compartment, but it bugs me no end that the seat release switch does not work. And I think the Dacia is getting to the end of its useful lifespan, fuel gauge not working, needs a new rear axle (advisory on last MOT), clutch, exhaust (advisory on last MOT) and needs some welding on the sill (our local garages do not seem to take on welding any longer) which was another advisory on the MOT..........soon may look for a car with 1 years MOT on Marketplace...

I hate vehicle electrics. and now I have 2 problems to contend with. 1.....cars fuel gauge is on the blink, it just registers half full, even with the wires disconnected from the sender....I hate not know what's in the tank. 2... scoots electric seat release button stays in when pushed, and it's a big job to get to it.... but the sun is shing and quite warm with the sun on the shed roof, I even took off my coat.

My back has been behaving it's self for the past 3 weeks, now I have said that I expect I will sneeze and put it out again. hope you hip improves Bob. and soon. Could be worse, my wife is still sleeping on the sofa, sat almost upright...

We swapped from Sky tv & Internet to Virgin tv & Internet, what a big mistake that was. We have their basic package, which is so great! we can't record programmes, back to Sky (even though it costs more) as soon as possible.......

I would check the known faults, that's why I would get another Dacia, know what to look for, and keep my present one for spares if needed.

Been and filled the car with £35 of Asda,s finest E10, ventured into the shop for a few fresh vegetables, with luck we can avoid the place till the Saturday after New Year. Wish I had the enthusiasm for cleaning my car like @Saul has, mine is filthy on the outside and just as bad inside too, Been weighing up my options, i will run the car till mid summer, then look for a (cheap) car (most likely another Dacia) with a full years MOT on it, what with the rear axle, clutch and exhaust, it is kinda (getting/got) beyond worth the outlay.......I know it's a shitbox, but it has been a good car for the years I have had it. Merry Christmas to you lot.

Nope her "You just hear what you want to hear" no longer applies. As said, it has some benefits, and some downsides too, I won't be able hear the car when it's about to blow its big ends. But strangly I can hear the sodding brakes squeal when slowing down.

Back from my audiology appointment, they fitted new tubes and filters, cleaned the earpieces, a very comprehensive job that she did. I still hear next to fuck all, which at times can be a blessing!

It will hold, glued where the lugs have broken off, just tried the handle, solid as a rock. In other news my hearing aid has packed up but got a audiology appointment for the start of February
