River widening!

A38...M1 junction 23a..... passed East Mids Airport, country road to Donington Park...... just a reverse journey back home, nothing exciting was encountered on the journey there and back, did have a short shower on the way there. Took a few photos, phone camera is crap.

Off to Donington at 9am... it could be my longest trip of this year , and last year too.

Riding in the rain.....not my idea of fun........better forecast for tomorrow.

And!............ Its is drizzling May try again tomorrow.

Charging scoot battery and checking the oil & tyre pressures ready for (hopefully) the ride to Donington tomorrow, watch it piss down tomorrow morning.

A bit of a reprieve today, drive to wife's sisters (20 mile away) ...my wife can have a couple of hours chatting to them, while I drink their tea and eat their biscuits.

Just the usual, sit here reading. And watch the tv for the next 12 hours.

I had a 20 mile round trip, very nice out there, but I was slightly over dressed Not many bikes here considering the nice weather, the traffic was crap.

Only breakfast I will seeing for the foreseeable future It has took me 2 weeks to get the OK to go out tomorrow for a couple of hours. .....out every day!, never happen. But I have the OK to go to the BSB test days at Donington Park, I may go Friday (weather permitting)

Naa, the kids are off school, the popular places will be rammed. I may go to the Green Hut in Ollerton and have a coffee, then ride back, don't want to push my luck with my back.

Weather for tomorrow is (supposedly) sunny and 20c , scoot is full of fuel, battery charged, tyre pressures checked, slightly overkill for a 20 miles round trip,

Doc has informed my wife that she has Type 2 Diabetes, so it looks like I will be on a diet too. I had better eat the sweet stuff before it gets binned.

My back is considerably better today, good job too, grass needs cutting, car is filthy too.....I am using the "its a bit on the cool side out there" to get out of doing any of them

It is a nice idea to have a (kind of) Pete,s Memorial Ride. Sorry I can't attend, 200 mile to the start point for me, then a 200 mile ride, after the ride (maybe) a 150+ mile ride home, too much in one day, and on a 250cc scoot, very very doubtful.......so to those that do make it to the event, Have a great time. 🏍

Back is a bit! better,but not enough to trying doing much.

Frisky......need a long memory to remember the last time I was feeling frisky. A couple of lagers for me is better than any sleeping tablets....
