Have done most of it at one time or another. A great place to explore. Enjoy!

There were loads of garages on or near our route but the team leader got led astray by his technology. It seems to be a gift with some people!

On Wednesday night I had a call from a mate in Reading asking if I fancied meeting up with him and three mates, along with another friend from Southampton at the air museum near Salisbury. Seemed like a plan so set off to get there by 1130. Of course I arrived far too early. Then the rest of them turned up after I'd had the worst cup of tea in living memory. Was well pleased to see this Gloucester Meteor as I probably saw it flying from Llanbedr airfield when I was in primary school nearby And this was one of the drones that they also flew from there. Some of the exhibits My mate from Southampton trying to figure out how to get out Biggles Stopped at this War Cemetery on the way to Avebury. And then after riding past the stones at Avebury stopped for a much needed beer. We rode up to Swindon because the stupid GPS on my mate's bike led us there for fuel. A group bomb burst and a quick blast down the M4 to Reading for a kebab and red wine, before heading home on the Friday along a gridlocked M4 as far as Chepstow. Good to meet a few new faces, and hopefully there will be another ride somewhere interesting before too long. Great collection well worth visiting run by a knowledgable and friendly bunch of volunteers. Highly recommended.

Other than a couple of rides to see friends locally, to give the bike a run, I haven't ridden for a while. MOT will be due in a month or so so might make a day of it then. I'm off to the Overland Event near Oxford next month to see if I can get inspired! https://www.overlandevent.com

The bike went through flipping on the buried fence. I took the airborne option. Just the once was enough @Buckster!

Far too hot for you Fred. Your nether regions would be suffering for weeks! I struggled today just walking about. I had intended to go for a ride but my mate called me, so walk it was. Get well soon.

Book Club - What are you reading at the moment?
Specs replied to Grasshopper's topic in GENERAL CHAT
Reading one of my mate's books, The Book of Titie. He flies out somewhere, buys a bike and travels around looking at natural history museums, memorials and bars. Interesting and amusing. Well worth trying one of the kindle versions. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07B6S5MVY/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_BM896AKWM64NPYFR0RB4 -
Likewise Pedro. Another GS is good. Does everything that I can do, and is comfortable to boot. The T7s are nice too although too tall for me. Seat is too hard and the top end whine from the Africa Twin spoils it for me. Something like Pete's bike will be the next sensible option I think.

I remember that. It was on Wales Online.

Exactly. Boris must have given the Germans a bung.

I hope so Pete. The media frenzy is utterly nauseous already. I have to have a bucket nearby if I turn the tv on. Fred has it right.

Mine's about the same. I did once get just over 70mpg leading a MAG ride out. I doubt if we ever got over 50mph! A lot of dual carriageway and scoots in tow. Some even broke down. Apparently a steady speed doesn't suit them and they seize up!

Exactly.

I think I remember it at 3/6d a gallon. Remember the shock horror when it first hit £1 a gallon?

7.5p Have you forgotten already?

Nothing that some tear gas and a few baton rounds couldn’t sort out. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-wales-57197466

That was that hot summer. Kept falling off when the rains came. A gallon or so of SA couldn’t have helped!

It’s a lot worse now than when I first went up there.

Doesn’t bear thinking about. Imagine eating all the sheep that have been shagged by the Welsh.

Exactly. Galles, Galicia, Gales. The link must go back a long way.
