  1. I may have been taking the michael a little bit but yer stunt pegs that explains it.
  2. Brilliant pic. The field of vision in that visor is ENORMOUS!
  3. Yes they were good, I don't understand why they let their reputation slide down the pan producing what they produce now. Sounds like you got a new lid when you got your Enfield, so long as theres something on that bonce
  4. So are they some type of winged stabilisers or did you like to save enough space to have another bike riding either side of you?
  5. I wouldn't compare enhancing a motorbike picture to trying to make yourself look younger. Maybe if you go bananas on the photo it starts to look more like art than a straight photo but I don't see that as a problem, a motorbike looking good is fine by me... and other's or they wouldn't vote it.
  6. Caberg flips get good reviews. I tried one and would have bought it then n there but I also tried a heavily discounted Schuberth straight after and then the quality of it got me to open my wallet that wee bit more. Bell not so much. Not sure what happened to them. Not the fit or the quality you'd expect. But they do look good.
  7. haha I had to restrain myself from making an "its all good man" joke
  8. I'm betting the no photoshopping voters are the less tech savvy folk on here!
  9. I was told in an overly stern tone by an instructor back in CBT land that the polystyrene degrades overtime even if you don't wear it which is why they have a 7 year from manufacture date limit on them. I declined to mention I was wearing my mothers 15 year old lid that was giving me a headache because it was two sizes too small
  10. But Pete some of the ripe ages on here are going to be relying on "enhancement"
  11. 5 years wear time, 7 years after manufactured date. Not sure Im on for chucking a lid after 5 years but if the liner was going or the polystyrene wasn't rock solid I would.
  12. Is that tiny plate legal over there?
  13. Yep you can see when its been over done and if you don't like that sort of thing vote accordingly.
  14. I think it's fine and not just for if the lights bad. Who cares if its enhanced, if it's a good photo it's a good photo regardless of whether someone technicolored it, used an expensive camera, has done a photography course or has some other advantage. This isn't a professional photography competition. Banning stuff and rules is all a bit serious for something thats supposed to be lightweight fun. It's not a sport, photoshopping aint doping. I'm wondering if Pete's lack of wins has him trying to eliminate the competition?
  15. It would probably be good enough as a bicycle helmet
  16. Schuberth make replacement liners and visors but looking at the age of that thing I'd say its unlikely they'd have anything compatible now. More importantly its integrity looks very poor and would likely crack like an eggshell under any pressure. Get a new lid. Please.
  17. Still a regular stinky occurrence in houses with small children. We never did find my sons Chinese dwarf hamsters
  18. You probably are Michelle, you know what a bunch of curmudgeonly old gits there are on here
  19. Great write up and pics, thanks. Looks like a good time. Running out of drinks though... bad news, especially when its cold!
  20. Are they sure they weren't shits before and the peace of lockdown didn't just highlight how wankery they are? nb wankery, thats new, I like it. I'm emailing Oxford English Dictionary as we speak
  21. I confess I haven't, I've just settled on being wide eyed and freaked out in blacked out areas My first bike was a Mutt, Japanese engine but mostly Chinese (including the electrics) and my next a BMW with the revered feared CAN bus. This means the idea of doing anything at all that alters the electrical set up on a bike gives me the heebie jeebies.
  22. The headlight and the side stand are a couple of issues they had which are fixed on later models. My headlight is about 1-2 candles in brightness, a torch would be better I don’t have any problem getting the Himalayan over 80mph (on closed private roads ) I stopped pushing it when I hit 86mph because although the rev counter said it was alright the sound said otherwise but there’s plenty there if you want it.. and aren’t too impatient for it I think it would be great for commuting. I rode it in the capital of a very hectic country and it pushes through traffic well, probably because it’s trustworthy so you feel confident to push but it would also be good as a commuter because its a relaxing not a wearing bike to ride which when you’re working night shifts you’d appreciate.
