  1. Now that's what I call a smack down hotel...lol.
  2. There you go, you just prove my point ...that's why your driving a bus and I ran and actual repairshop for 27 years. Let me explain it. This bike has been hitting the trails since early May....how many hours do you think it has.?...keeping in mind,to keep this engine from grenadting... piston should be replaced every 40 hrs or so....now just imagine after this so call repair the engine detonate on his way home....not knowing who this kid is or his mother is....what if she's somekind of crazy Karen and blames the repair you've just did...and decides to take you to court..... That's the difference between and amateur and a professional ...
  3. Come on @busster...please tell us how you would have delt with this situation....we're all waiting....lol.
  4. That's kinda vague....lol....by doing what exactly...?
  5. I'm curious....and just how would you have repaired it ?
  6. Anyway it's out my missing hair now....i guess the yamaha dealer won't be looking at it now...not before a month....and the Kawasaki dealer were the bike was acquired...they want to replace the case itself....probably just to be not liable if something happens...
  7. Well the count down for sturgis has begun...really hope the weather stays good...and the air quality improves...lot's of forest fires at the moment in Canada...
  8. Oil plug size is 8mm...not sure if 1mm would have done the trick....he really bored out the treads...maybe 10mm... 9mm tap is kinda of a odd size around here...mine jumps from 8 to 10...
  9. It has to be a drainage hole...so running and insert or heli-coil covering the hole...im guessing part of the engine case won't fully drain when he does the next oil change....think it only holds like 1l of oil...
  10. Got another pic...before pulling out the detached threads...threads are covering half of the hole...
  11. Zooming the pic...you can kinda make out the hole inside the hole...left bottom.
  12. Oh! And I highly recommend the kid to get himself a torque wrench, cause like bus"ster" he's got no clue what his doing...lol Found a new nickname for Buckster... "" Busster"""
  13. Clearly I have more experience working on tractors than you have...lol.
  14. Honestly if the bike would have been a few years old..I might have risk it...the frigen thing is only a few month old...and just found out that the Yamaha dealer only has heli-coils to repair the thing...not the best to repair a oil plug...
  15. Go check your oil on your Triumph...lol.
  16. Here you go again with that black guy...the fellow who asked me on a private channels how to put the new cam chest together....now Im regretting helping you out...
  17. Just because you installed brake pads on the hairdresser mobile ...doesn't make you and expert...

    Pedro's food

https://www.facebook.com/share/19ER5GAmbD/ Think I've just found a real Italian resto....and it's about 1.5 hours away...must have passed that town hundred of times...never noticed the place...ill be stopping for sure next drive thru.... All we have around here is those chain store pizza joints...just crappy pizzas.
  19. I'm not even going to bother replying to this....lol.
  20. Here's the official maintenance from Kawi.... Still...piston and rings every 40 hrs...to prevent catastrophic engine failure ...
  21. Anyway don't know much about these 450 4 stroke..other than power wize , its on par with a 250 2 stroke and if the engine blows up , it cost a fortune to repair...i guess you'd be better just buying a new bike...lol Piston rings at every 15 hrs....you've got to be shitting me....lol.
  22. Wish I could have taken a better pic of the drain plug hole...three or four threads in it opens up...looks like a drain for one of the side cases...so when the oil plug is fully in...almost half of the length of the drain plug isn't engaging in anything...who ever will be drilling that out will have to be really careful the drill shoot to one side...
  23. The only thing I have on hand is heli- coils...yes and insert would be definitely better...but Im not buying a kit for it...lol...i guess the local yamaha dealer has a insert kit on hand...told him to bring it there... He needs to get himself a proper torque wrench...the crush washer is so flatten out...its fused to the drain plug.
  24. Don't really know the kid , but don't know who's more stupid...the kid or the salesman who sold him this bike.... think he's a kid from a single parent household.
