Well the carbs came off without to much drama. Throttle cable was a bit of a pig but ok in the end. Initially took the float bowls off and there was some sludge so have cleaned them all out. Gonna re watch soon carb cleaning vids before going any deeper. On a side note the carb rubbers are not old at all. Both airbox and motor sets. All pliable and in great condition. I’m fairly sure that have been replaced at some point. Also the air filter looks in very good condition and must have been replaced recently in mileage terms. Good to find out but sort of wish I didn’t have a new one sitting on the bench, that is a few quid I could have saved as are the new set of rubbers. I intend to keep the bike so they will be used at some point.

I have the troubleshooting the EFI one, but if you are happy to share the more info the better ! There are a few really good forums with lots of useful info on them, motobrick.com & K100-forum are both very good. Some of those guys have rebuilt any number of them and know them inside out.
