Interesting and very clever work. Why anyone would is beyond me but I find the project fascinating.

Weather was shit all weekend so not much chance of riding plus I had. Covid so needed something to do in a solitary dashing. So much time spent on the Sprint. Before Used this stuff on recommendation After wire brush quenching or painting.

Quenching some bolts to suit the murdered out theme of the Sprint and maybe protect them from rusting again.
-
Been out playing around with the Sprint today painting stuff. Also experimented with the bolts for the exhaust by quenching them. Heating them to just turn cherry red and dropping them in used engine oil. They look okay. It will be interesting to see if they are resistant to rust.

Bike or scoot?

I’ve been called worse by better.

So, my mates who are currently still exploring Morocco are due back onto the Spanish mainland on Tuesday lunchtime. They’re heading towards Seville for Tuesday night and I’m leaving Tuesday morning heading towards Alcala La Real for an overnight stop. Wednesday will be a late start for me as I head towards our rendevous in Osuna for the madness to begin………..can’t wait. My bike is ready, nose pointing at the garage door, gear all packed and mounted on the rear seat. My missus still has the arseache with me so she’s quite pleased I’m fucking off for a few days. Every cloud has a silver lining eh? Not sure I’ll manage a trip report but I’m sure I can upload some photos with minimal effort. It should be good as I’ve not had any alcohol for the last three months as the painkillers and anti-inflammatory pills for the sciatica prevented it………two pints and I’m going to be minging.
