Funnily enough I ride with two guys on Classics one 1974 Norton Commando and one 1972 Triumph Bonnieville 650. Both beautiful but both slow and temperamental as hell. I love the look of them but that’s it I wouldn’t have one for regular transport. They both handle better than you would think but shit brakes and the lads have to work them hard to keep up a moderate pace with the group.
-
No don’t think so
-
You only got 3" last night? You should speak to @Vamana Gupta, he always gets at least 12".

Trying to finish up work, or at least ensure the worst fires are under control whilst away on hols for a week. Had an hour in the garage working on the BMW, it now starts on the button, going to try to balance the throttle bodies tomorrow. Ordered a Mo-unit (painful) with a view to rewiring it at some point.

It was v windy here, no damage thankfully, tree branches all over the place a week after I'd cleared up the last lot. Water seems to have got into two security lights as they are now stuck on.

I gave my Rickman Z900 to the lad a year or 3 ago..still done anything with it..wish i had kept it now. I would have had it back on the road...Mind, they were shit in a bend and the brakes were crap.. in a straight line in those days...Waaaaaaaaaaaa!... Bikes are much better today, we just we had the best then.
-
That's pretty shit @Saul , we must have been in a weird pocket of weather here . There was snow all around us but all we got was rain all day and no wind.
-
We had about 3" of snow last night and the winds got up to 90mph according to my Davis weather machine...Yanky but good kit, i have had it since i used to fly...as a young un with money, then shit happens Anyway, snow gone by 11am as we had rain from 0630-ish...but glad it's over..

Cool bike....reminds me of my Dad's '78 CB750k. He eventually gave it to my brother who's a wizard w/ a wrench. He pulled the head, gave it a hone w/ some fresh rings & a new gasket...it ran like a champ after the that.

Is the g storm meant to carry over the weekend?

Bloody 120 mph wind gust wrecking havoc all over the Duchy. Trees down everywhere, RTA’s, roads closed. Lifeboats, coastguards and all the other services on the go all night. 53,000 homes blacked out. Worst of all for me pealed the roof off my bike she which was new this year. Tore the doors off my big shed and blew the sides out of my recycling bag store. At one point we had a tin can twister flying around the garden . Managed to trigg it up today hopefully good enough for overnight so I can get on with fixing it properly tomorrow. Guess the Triumph Carb rebuild is on hold until the shed is secured. Bikes all untouched I couldn’t get to much today as Shadow had a hospital appointment and I had to take the Mr’s down to RCHT Hospital in Truro to see her 94 year mum who is in with. Flu I have everything crossed she comes out again, my Mother in Law is a gem.

The Madam opened the Brothel Door to see a frail, elderly gentleman. "Can I help you"..?? the Madam asked. "I want Natalie," the Old Man replied. "Sir, Natalie is one of our most Expensive Ladies, perhaps someone else"..??? "NO, I must see Natalie." the old guy exclaims. Just then Natalie appeared and announced to the Old Man, that she Charges £1,000 per visit. Without blinking, the Old Man reached into his Pocket and handed her Ten £100 notes. The two went up to a room for an hour, whereupon the man calmly left. The next night he appeared again demanding to see Natalie..?!?!? Natalie explained that no one had ever come back Two Nights in a Row and that there were NO Discounts. It was still £1,000 a visit. Again the Old Man took out the Money, the Two went up to the room and an hour later, he left. When he showed up the THIRD Consecutive night, no one could believe it. Again he handed Natalie the money and up to the room they went. At the end of the hour Natalie questioned the Old Man:- "No one has ever used my Services Three Nights in a Row. Where are you from Sir"..??? The Old Man replied, "I'm from Cardiff "Really"..?? replied Natalie. "I have Family who Lives there." she replies. "Yes, I Know," said the old man. "Your Father Died recently, and I'm your Sister's Attorney". * "And she asked me to give this £3,000, when I saw you"..

Sadly it's the truth and if you knew anything about bikes ( pan- am in general) like Saul said , dealers don't even want to deal with them...electrical gremlins, scrappy fuel pumps...ext...ext...
