That basted carb

Off again at last. Found plenty of shite in the float bowl.

Needle valve looks fine, rubber still soft so fuck knows what's going on in there.



The seat for the valve is tight and holds a vacuum with the valve in place and pressure come to that if I hold a finger over the hole. I'm going to reassemble with another new ethanol comp vale and see what happens. I may well cry a little if it doesn't cure the overflow and then burn the basted thing.

Yes Bucky. It's been leaking from the overflow pipe at random times for ages. I could start it in the morn or pull up at a junction and there'd be petrol everywhere.
Had it apart for a new needle valve but this time it's getting an ethanol compatible one.
