This. It's 75 miles to my shop - each way X 5 days / week = 750 miles each week. I probably do another 30-40% more in fucking around each day. edit: I checked Spain's fuel prices - equivalent of $6.75 USD per gallon. So that does kinda suck. It's about $3.30 per gallon here.

What tools do you really NEED to carry?

Yup - which is oddly no different than winter weather here. Someday though, it's gonna be nice and I'll get out for a cruise. Someday....

Only snowed about 8 inches last night - less than predicted. Cloudy and 8F / -14C today. Think I'll go out for a bike ride in a few.......

I've made a couple of trailer hitches for SV650's and other bikes as well as an off road trailer hitch coupler that allowed the bike to fall over while the trailer remained upright - or vice versa. Cant' say I'm into trailers much, but I can appreciate the works and effort it takes to make them.

Sadly, no. The Germans are guilty as well and ya just know the Japanese have built a fucked up bike / trailer ...

I'll come see you in the hospital. What kind of beer should I bring?

One of our neighbors just posted this on Facebook - bet he shit himself! Tony Zotti otespodSnrta6i2t5hhl8fga88u5f55hmh5ahu05001c211g9i1t1m4a8itl · Just got done cleaning up the scratches on my back and head after A F*CKING MOUNTAIN LION USED ME AS A GYMNAST'S VAULT! Woke from a dead sleep to the sound of choking and awful animal screams. I was so afraid that a bear (yes, they're awake, one dropped our bird feeder the night before last) had opened up my goat shed that I just headed straight out....naked. The noise, however, was right outside just off our front porch. There was a fight between a racoon and what I thought was my dog Jasper. He's a yellow lab husky mix and blonde. In my stupor, I figured I must have left him out and was hollering at him to let go. I was scared and they weren't disengaging, so I went to grab him and shit got really weird, really fast. As soon as I moved forward and was within a couple feet of them, "Jasper" let go, jumped up on my porch, turned around and used the front door as a springboard and sprung....at me....landed on my head and back and then sprung again! Hit the ground running and booked it. A freaking lion with a tail as long as me! I was in full on fight or flight mode. I can't believe that just happened to me! Nicole was at the door wondering what in the world was going on and she got stuck cleaning up the mess. So, anyways, there's a cat in the Lump Gulch neighborhood and remember to wear pajamas. You never know when you'll have unexpected guests.

Good point.

Basic math will also help; Measure the distance of the outside edge of the bolts / studs on the backrest Subtract the diameter of one of the bolts / studs The result is the distance between centers of the two bolts. Mark that on the topbox and drill away.

Sounds like heaven. I may have to move.

Chicago pizza beats the shit outta pizza in Italy. Actually, they're nothing alike at all. Post up some pictures of a pizza when you get there and I'll do the same.
-
Driving - it's about 1,200 miles to Chicago and then another 250 or so down to Indy. But I'll finally get some good pizza!
-
Heading to Chicago for some pizza and then to Indy for some beers. Nice little trip.

Followed a couple of 2026-ish test mules up the mountain today. Things were going slow as shit during cold weather / altitude testing. What a boring job that has to be . No idea what kind / make of cars they are...

We got ten inches of "climate change" last night and this morning. I'm sore from shoveling.

Well, she loves you so that proves she doesn't know shit. I rest my case.

Ugly fuckin' dirtbike with a shitty seat according to her. And our feet hit a lot. She's 5'10" and I'm 6'1" so there wasn't a lot of leg room on that bike for her.

Exactly why my wife bought a Goldwing. I'd have never bought one on my own as they don't do much for me. But it makes her happy to ride again. She hated 2 up on the GS and the Tenere. Even after a couple of severe crashes, I never really lost my riding desire / mojo. Have ridden for 54 years and still enjoy it each time. I must have a pretty sad life away from bikes <ggg>.
