  1. Rode through the Bighorn National Forest and were treated to nicer weather and fun roads..
  2. Headed north to Montana and Wyoming this week. Had to get through the cold and windy Wyoming first...
  3. But today, before the trip, I gotta remember how to put these back on.....
  4. Headed north tomorrow with hopes to stop just south of Canuckistan. Looking to do some off road and general messing around in Wyoming and Montana for a few days....
  5. What? That's sacrilegious !
  6. I know! It's the best.
  7. Up at 0400 Sunday to moto marshal a triathlon. Spent the day riding at 15 mph and yelling at bicycle riders. So other than the speed it was just like any other day of riding around here. Got paid big money , too ($70).
  8. Yup. Never had a problem with it at all.
  9. It's the 1200 and has given me no troubles at all. I just change the oil at 3,000 mile intervals and it runs like a top. Fork seals going bad after 70,000 miles is the first issue I've had. I think the 700 is just as reliable from what I've heard from owners. It'd be perfect for logging roads, etc. The 1200 is a bit larger for any serious offroad stuff but fine for dirt roads and the like.
  10. Must have. I dunno what mine has but it's a dog. Can barely pass a car when two up.
  11. Moto Marshalling a triathlon again on Sunday. Won't be in any Canuckistan hotel rooms though.
  12. Replacing a set of leaky fork seals on the Tenere today. Hot temps on the Arizona ride kinda baked them dry ....
  13. Close! We're right next to Mount Blue Sky (nee Evans). Warmer today though.
  14. Funny - 36F / 2C here this morning. Eventually got up to 55F / 13C. Nice day!
  15. Yup - they need to up the capacity by at least 2.0 gallons.
  16. Elevation changes do that to you - from very cold to very hot in a single day.
  17. That's the truth! But it made beers by the pool so much better...
  18. Ridden PCH quite a few times. It's not all that great - but if ya wanna ride next to the ocean then that's what ya have to do. Ride report with pics here:
  19. Just one day, that's all I want. Just one day when I can go outside and not be under some threat of imminent death from an animal, weather or some shit....
  20. That's it. About 3,500 miles over 6 days of riding. It was fun and I can't wait to do it again.
  21. Todd dropped me at my house and then blasted east to try to get ahead of the incoming storm. He got down the mountains just before the shit hit at my house ....
  22. Next morning we stopped at our friend's house to pick up the truck and trailer and load the bikes....
  23. Made to Grand Junction for dinner - but beers got in the way of that again. Hit a Irish type place called The Goat Tavern ....
  24. Our last day of riding turned out to be a long one. We hadn't wanted to do it but decided halfway through to just do it. 780 miles from Las Cruces, NM to Grand Junction, Colorado. Not gonna do that again ...
  25. We were far enough north and at a higher elevation so the snow starts to return and the temps are down to the low 50'sF / 10C. Saw a few forest fires / prescribed burns in the distance...
