My oldest G-son now works for Amazon at a huge data center complex in Hermiston OR. He was telling me that they are about to upgrade all their servers to liquid-cooling....part of a big UpScaling phase they're doing.

I used to work for an Engineering firm where the Drafters had 3 screens at each station....pretty cool for drafting. Gamers love that type of stuff.

Before I moved to eastern OR, I used to meet 3+ times a week w/ a small dog group at a local park about a mile away from home. Occassionaly, this one old boy would show up w/ his Pyrenese who was the most laid-back dog I'd ever met. My tiny little Shi Tzu just loved that big beast....I'd tell the others that she thought she was gonna be that big when she grew up.... 40f deg here this morning in Elgin....looking to get another Ride in on the Mullet today. Had a visit yesterday w/ a great friend who also moved here to Elgin from the same neck of the woods I'm from....known him since '78 & now he lives less than a mile away. Have always had 2-Wheels in common...& now Emtn, bikes as well. We also watched the MotoGP race from COTA...cool to see Aprilias on the top 2 steps of the podium...AGAIN.

That fool in the blue shirt definitely has a Death Wish....

Well, covered over 350 miles today over to Emmett ID & back. Mrs. Hook's appointments went off w/o a hitch...even enjoyed an All You Can Eat pizza & salad lunch for $13 ea. Even after a pretty dry winter, its nice to see the Elkhorn Mtns. still coated w/ the white stuff as we head back west towards home, about to drop into Baker City OR...

Another trip to ID today....to knock down a coupla appointments for Mrs. Hook. At least the weather is cooperating.

Had a nice long overdue conversation w/ my brother down in TX yesterday afternoon...he's in the process of building another Ossa power'd bike...

I was just noticing how green everything is getting around here....won't be long & I'll be doing the same...

Mrs. Hook has dibs on that already....nice try--

Only about a half-inch of snow fell here last night....supposed to be in the 70'sF by the weekend....

That's my Home Away From Home....a nice little hideout for us 'Borgs...

46F here & doing the same....through Sat. But....1st 3 days next week are projected to be in the 70's... I'm Ready to Ride!

Welcome to Spring in OR!....Where yesterday it was patches of Sunny blue-sky, luminous dark clouds, & SNOWING all at the same time! ....

His problem is quite obvious.....

And just like that, we have a coupla fresh inches of snow this morning....then next week it's supposed to jump up to the 60's & 70's...in the middle of March...

Encountered a whole herd of Antelope crossing hwy 82 yesterday...on the way down to La Grande. Usually see those critters down near Union of Cove.....Southern part of the county.

I HATE when that happens!!...

Just last year w/ my mate at a bike park in John Day OR....on my Cyberbike. Couldn't downshift quick enough to negotiate some rockier terrain. Fell straight over....blasted numb feet!
