21f here this morning...3rd day in a row w/ clear blue sky's & high temps reaching almost 50f. Definitely getting another spin on the Mullet today....

24f for the 2nd day here...absolutely cloudless sky yesterday. Had a good spin on the Mullet yesterday...gonna try for another today...

I knew it'd only be a matter of time before our resident Peanut Gallery piped up w/ a wise crack... The stretch of tarmac I did that on was pretty damn flat, I'll have you know. It was an old favorite that I frequently took most of my bikes on...

Myself, I enjoy doing that kind of work...especially if you've got an array of new parts for replacement. Inline 4's or parallel twins/triples are much more pleasant to deal with vs. wrestling w/ V4 carbs, which can sometimes be a real bitch.

Cool bike....reminds me of my Dad's '78 CB750k. He eventually gave it to my brother who's a wizard w/ a wrench. He pulled the head, gave it a hone w/ some fresh rings & a new gasket...it ran like a champ after the that.

Don't think you can go wrong with Yuasa....had great results with them over the years w/ my Bikes.

My Christmas season has been spent looking after Mrs. Hook w/ her new knee...gotta admit that I'm proud of her for doing well w/ her recovery. Seeing consistent increments of improvement everyday. Kind of anxious to see how well she'll be doing by our anniversary in Feb. Hopefully be mobile enough to do a day trip to Hermiston to see my Great G-son by then...

Well this old man got some great news today....My son has made it back to OR & is finally out of Israel! Got a text reply from him today telling me he'll be state-side for another year while he waits for his top-secret security clearance to clear before he heads off to Germany into more of an Administrative position w/ the company he works for....No More sand people & war zones to work in! He also told me that my oldest G-son is moving back to OR from NM....so I called him straight away to get the low-down. His job w/ NASA turned out to be a dead end...so he sold his house in NM & scored a job w/ Amazon at a new data center in Hermiston OR...just over an hour away from Elgin ....he starts the 12th of Jan. I'm so stoked & I can't wait to see my Great G-son...he's a beautiful boy & an absolute Chip Off The Old Block....

Oh Lyn, I feel your pain mate. I spent a good year crying my eyes out after Jana passed. I drove to a beautiful place called Black Horse creek & spread her ashes, along with ashes of our son & her Dad. She just wanted to be near water, so I made that last wish happen. It absolutely tore me up at 1st....but with time, it also brought me some real Peace. I truly hope & Pray that you find that Peace as well.

So, nobody can accuse you of just having Selective Hearing, eh?....that could definitely be a blessing!

Push-rods, lifters...reminds me of turning spanners on my SB Chevy's. I too, would like to see pics of the Hardley's inerds for comparison.

That would make a great ride for hauling Dirt Bikes & generally playing around out in the woods....

53F this morning after a night of gale force winds w/ 60+mph gusts....blew down half of a willow tree in my back yard. Then spent all day w/ Mrs. Hook at the hospital while she got a new right knee. She did pretty good but still needs to sleep off the pain meds. I'll go back down to La Grande tomorrow to bring her home. Our house just isn't the same w/o her...& our dogs know it.
