You'd be surprised... the wild life is never very far away.... I saw an awesome 12-point bull Elk along that creek last fall...

Well we had a glorious day weather-wise....been dealing w/ plumbing issues in the front yard the last few days...giant pain in the arse & gonna be on the spendy side before it's all over. Mrs. Hook cooked up a tasty pork sirloin dish for dinner tonight....so I took the opportunity for an Out & About spin on the Mullet before she was done. Flippin' beautiful day along Clark creek...

That's quite some weather you've had there @Pedro... Incredible. We've had no winter so far...seen snow once in December...just a dusting really...was gone the next day. It was 25f this morning....last year on this day it was -5f. The jet stream is now starting to do a flip/flop here in the US....east side of the country has been blasted w/ snow....clear down to the southern states, which is rare. Now it looks like a warming trend is starting for the east side & here in the west the temps will be starting to drop. Winter will probably last until May this year...

Know exactly what you mean....did that so many times w/ my 550 Seca....eventually had it down to a science where I could do it in my sleep. The swearing really commenced though, when doing carb work on my VF Sabre. The Sprint is gonna be a real sweetie when you get it all sorted mate...

I always heard good things about the GPZ 305.....1 of the few small bore belt drive bikes...
-
I've had 2 shafties....both from '83...XJ 750 Maxim & VF 750 Sabre. Both were pretty smooth, & I found especially w/ the Maxim, that if I upshifted w/o the clutch, that chassis jacking was almost non-existent. Both were a bit heavy feeling, but the Sabre felt heavier of the two....typical Honda...lol

Nice work @Saul...looks a helluva lot better.
-
Sure hope How High @ least shows some appreciation for all your hard work....

Clear blue skies here this morning...supposed to make it into the 50'sf today... Got some drafting to do....should have that done by lunchtime....then it's off for a Ride!
-
So I guess this month's winner confirms 1 thing.... It doesn't matter how many flippin' wheels it has....it just has to have footpegs
-
Ya got me there Boss.... DOH!
-
That's mighty White of ya Buck....you're an all right bloke, no matter what they about ya....

Mostly gravel from what I've seen....I've been under this truck a good dozen times & see absolutely NO rust. I'm also quite grateful that this Beast has a 5-speed manual gearbox behind a 5.7 ltr w/ only 161k on the clock. It ALWAYS runs when I need it to...pretty decent for a 35 y/o pick-up.

Got a plumber coming today to unplug a clog in the sewer line in our front yard... sure to drain the bank account a bit more ...but at least it'll be fixed & I can start collecting materials to replace the garden shed roof...it just never ends.
-
Man after my own heart... I love my K25 pick-up.... it may be 35 y/o but it's sooo dang reliable & easy to work on .... Our '16 Equinox has turned out to be a great ride as well....
-
Great looking K9 there @Pedro...

Know exactly what you mean @Saul....my carb synchronizer's tubes are getting pretty stiff from age as well. Don't have much use for them anymore as my bikes now just have pedals... Going w/ the chinesium route makes much more sense...especially w/ the wallet.
-
I can totally relate to that Bob....my lower back, on the left side just above my hip, has been giving me grief since 2012 when I high-sided off the Kymco cruiser I had. I've found that CBD oil helps w/ relief quite a bit...but of course, I ran out yesterday... I'll have to make another trip to Sumpter by next week before I drive to Portland on the 31st for a funeral, where I'll also get to see my son & Grandkids.
-
26f this morning....off to take Mrs. Hook to another session of physical therapy. She's doing well w/ her recovery...barely used the cane much now.

The real trick is to Gradually turn the heat up under the hot tap... Ask me how I know...

To my knowledge, they're made for fishing...

Ever tried these?.... I've used these a handful of years....they work pretty good & are affordable.
