Cold Hard Fact: It's much more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than it is to ride a fast bike slow....
-
You scored an old Sporty & it's already been SuMo'd....& you can't wait to show us what kind of SmokeShow it can do?

After hunting down the proper tools to finish this project, I can honestly say the back porch is ready for Winter... It did get frustrating at times trying to just hold on to the screw gun & the new electric shear I bought to trim down the metal for the oddball sized panels....blasted hook can be real PITA sometimes. But at least it's done... now onto getting the lawn mowed & getting my 2nd truck running properly...hopefully just a fuel filter change.

My '83 VF Sabre w/ the old skool Windjammer was hard to beat when the weather turned sour...ample hand protection & a created vacuum over the gauges that stirred up the heat from the motor to help keep the front of my 1-piece rain-suit reasonably dry... do miss that Corbin seat though...quite comfy.
-
Attempting to finish the 4ft. high privacy wall around my back porch today....waiting for a drill-powered nibbler attachment to show up today from Amazon...so I can cut the oddball pieces of sheet metal siding. It oughta look halfway proper since the pattern matches the garage....
-
Taking Mrs. Hook to ID for a dental appointment today....at least the weather is cooperating....
-
Before we know it, we'll be seeing a "Trailer Action" thread popping up.... oughta make @Six30 proud...

About to go retrieve some sheet metal siding I ordered for the privacy wall I'm building around the back porch...along w/ some 1x6's & clips for the framing. Looking 4ward to some coconut shrimp for dinner tonight...as well as some Tequila shooters.

Nothing out there STEER's quite like a properly set-up SuMo.... It's like it's hard-wired to your brain....just think it & it's there! I still miss my XT6...

Really looking 4ward to getting to our reserved campsite this afternoon...friends we're camping with already secured it. Packed up the truck yesterday...decided to take the Manual...Mongoose mtn. bike, since I haven't thrown a leg over it for awhile. Just gotta pack up 2 coolers, collect the dogs & we're gone!

Got a bit more done on the 4ft. privacy wall I'm building around our back porch today....sweat my arse off in the 95F weather. Tomorrow will be spent mowing the lawn & then loading the truck w/ all the camping things before we take off Sunday after church for the west side of Sumpter OR...plan on being back sometime Wednesday afternoon. Weather appears to be cooperating for this trip.

$3.79 for regular here.... I pay $4.29+ for primo here in Elgin. Our dyke bitch of a governor is trying to add another 6 cents tax to that...
-
Definitely Old Skool.... my old man used to ride to work everyday on his CB 450 w/ one of those....back before the days of the full-face lid....
-
Church that I wouldn't miss....then possibly getting a start on walling in my back porch w/ the materials I bought yesterday....before it gets too darned hot....1 more week & it finally gets outta the 90'sf....
-
Nice bit of Engineering work done there.... but that's a helluva way to access a garage.
-
And you call yourself a Viking?....Man Up dude....when push comes to shove, you sometimes have to resort to your own means....Am I right @Clive?
-
Ahh, the grammar Nazi has returned...
-
Probably more like a tin can...
-
My garden shed has a plywood floor....my 24x24 pole-barn garage is all concrete....wish it had a radiant heated floor during the winter months though...
-
Some really nice hardware there @Saul....

Depends on WHERE in America you're talkin' about.... out here in the boonies, it's still like it used to be....helpful & friendly service. Definitely a night/day difference from the left side of OR. Don't get me wrong, there's still crime just about anywhere...but in a town of only 2,000 people, the crime rate pales in comparison to the big cities.

2nd that response....the weekly "Set Things Right" day....look 4ward to it every week....
