After great service from my 1999 sharan I got a 2017 model, after looking at many other cars and vans. Still got an old fashion key but it has got an electric handbrake. So I have to have fun with handbrake turns in Mandis Cmax which has the keyless system. Always looking for the key hole and wondering why the auto hold handbrake isn't working in that. I've got used to the auto hold function on the sharan and it works very well. Can only imagine the amount of software getting it working as good as it does. Oh and as for the keyless Cmax, I press the unlock button in the house, put the fob in my zip up pocket and only get it out when I'm at my destination.

Haven't had a whole lot of off road bikes but the dry was a cracking bike in the dirt. Far better than my ability but I had the most fun on the xl250s.

I've got this auto braking thing on the sharan, driving me bloody crazy and no way to turn it off.

I used to walk with a mate. Derbyshire, Dorset to name a couple. We'd cook on gas stoves, eat in pubs, it was great fun. Not sure these old bones would cope so well now. RIP Ash.

I've slept in the car many times as you know. Old Sharan was far better than a tent, even better when the seats are out and a mattress.

Can't remember how you'd fail a diff mount under the current reasons for failure. Advisories were invented to cover your arse but yes, could of had a visit.

Just about finished my cam belt, bloody soaked. Wasn't sposed to rain till about now.

Drop in temp and more water to fall in different forms here. Like Chris said we also need it. Been wanting to sort a new cam belt on my sharan for the last few months, today could be the day. If it starts to rain I can cover it up and use Mandi car as she's away again till Friday.
