  1. Is that a really small bike or are you just a giant of a man. ?
  2. I always think of Robbie the Robot when I see one, although I never have outside of a dealership. I don't understand how they chose to mount the battery right down just under the front bash plate. Makes no sense to me in such a vulnerable position.
  3. Oh FFS, my Mrs has signed up for https://wonkycoffee.com/ pods. Tastes fine but look at the fucking menu that came with the box.
  4. Well that commute took the romance of riding my bike to work, pissed down all the way there last night and stupid gusts of wind all the way across the Moor on the way home. Enjoying the bike though smooth, comfy and very easy to ride. It maybe the placebo effect but it seems to be riding better each time, but it was laid up for 6 months before I bought it. I know one thing those cupped tyres have to go, some very annoying tram lining in the wet. I was sort of going to tough it out until October when it’s MoT and service are due but am rethinking that if the summer is going to be a washout.
  5. I bet they are regretting all the before match hype this morning.
  6. I know that's why I don't like it. poofball
  7. Me too, couldn’t care less.
  8. My Mrs test drove a Sandero a couple of years ago and she did comment that the seats weren't very good. In fact the Duster wasn't much better. She decided to stick with her old BMW, which to be fair has been fauless for the last 3 years. Won't mention what happened before that .
  9. I have never been on one as a driver or rider but I don't like the sound of it.
  10. Quietish weekend for me, working tonight up at Launceston Hospital. Nothing much on Saturday, maybe some more obsessive new bike messing/cleaning. Sunday working overnight but have to go to our Truro base to cover, I fucking hate it down there, nest of fucking vipers. At least I will get my first couple of commutes on the CBF600.

    Cleanish

Had my first attempt at cleaning the CBF600, still plenty to do but it is looking passable from a few feet. Just going for tidy as it has done 30k so has a few battle scars and I am not concerned with that but there is some dirty shit that has to go. EG the glue from old wheel balancing weights and such. I spent yesterday cleaning up the panniers and getting the old stickers off. Of course there is no show without punch as Shadow wanted her bike in the photos so she can show her mates what she is supposedly getting. Notice the red hair to match, not obsessed much Anyway she’s wasn’t on receive when I told her about tests and such. Be some time yet.
  12. Just been out cleaning up my CB600 ready to use,, luckily it started to rain just as I finished. I wanted to take some photos but will wait for it to dry up, maybe some time looking at the forecast.
  13. Not till October, Wont pass her test for at least another year I would have thought.
  14. Cool, I was thinking restrictor plates but have no clue more than that. But she isn't 17 until October so no rush yet.

    Insurance

Insurance is definitely going up a lot. I was quoted £640 for.a policy for both my bikes. I declined and got the CBF600 insured for £132. I will wait to the Hornets expires to redo it but that was over £400 last year. I am hoping to pay much less this year.

    Bike gone

    Tidy replacement
  17. It's a decent snug fit but she is tiny so it looks big on her.
  18. She can't say so very much Chloe has been on a horse since she was 6 years old. Spiral fracture on her arm and all. I had never thought about it but you are right it would be a perfect first bike for her when she passes her test. Suppose i will have to research restrictor kits eventually. Couple of years or so before I have to go down that route.
  19. I am guessing you don't have teenage daughters.
  20. It was knackering but I had a great day yesterday, felt like a proper trip out type of adventure. It's the first time I have been on a train in years and to be honest I bloody enjoyed it. I hit it off with the seller too, ex BMW bike tech and a pretty interesting chap to boot. He was selling the bike as his wife died recently and his life pretty much revolved around his two Jack Russells, so he has bought a caravan to holiday with them. I asked him why he had a Honda rather than a BMW, his answer was reliability .
  21. Sorry to hear that Clive, hope you’re better soon.
  22. I bet she was delighted by the third time
