  1. Sounds good. Thank you for the effort! It would be a shame to loose all the content on here, though.
  2. You need torx tools, that’s it.
  3. I struggle to understand how you didn’t find it cramped.
  4. Yes, opening this forum now I realise how much of a big part of the audience he was.
  5. You preach? Like in a proper event with people listening? Still feels like a long time to go until it’s weekend for me, I only want to get to friday evening so I can stop having sad conversations with my clients
  6. You were the one saying you'd like to try one out for comparison, if you want to see what a BMW is about those are it. Can't see how a 1290 is any less complicated than any bike, though, particularly anything with a boxer engine which has the engine heads accessible out of the bike.
  7. Doesn't look at all proportioned to me. Weird shape.
  8. They're fine. They're a warm bike depending on wind protection, but a Harley will be much worse in hot weather on account of the huge air cooled engine. People claim that Ducatis and KTMs give out more engine heat too, which isn't surprising considering the power they can make. What gives off serious heat sometimes, on a modern BMW flat twin, is the catalyst. That will sometimes roast your right foot. Forget about the silly cruiser, if you want to try a proper BMW try a GS or an RT on proper roads, like it or hate it but that's what BMW bikes are about.
  9. Bike got dropped getting out of the rental van!
  10. I would love to leave my bike parked in their garages for a week. Pick it up looking like 6 years ago!
  11. Da fuck? This thread is gone to shit! Quick, @YamaHead, save it!

Stopping by “my local” on the way home, for a coffee and a drink, right now sign says: unbelievably, it’s all true!
  13. Flaws appear from old age as well. They did my brother’s E39 and that was even older. Back then airbags were a new technology.
  14. You’re doing alright!
  15. I've got a better jacket for winter. This would be for 20 to 25º and over, including proper heat.
  16. If they're sizing them like that, I'll search their website for a conversion table and then risk it. You'd say they're less slim than Dainese then?
  17. I had a diary for that stuff back in the days of driving on track. It's really easy to get lost if you're not meticulous. I was remembered of that on the GS, with the new suspension I started tinkering with it and initially I kept notes, but then forgot to and after a couple more adjustments I was lost and didn't remember the sweet spot. Now I just have it softer like I put it in Morocco to go off-road and left it like that regardless, it gets a big wavy and feels like a boat on rough seas when going proper fast, but there you go.
  18. Has anyone reached out to @Tym?
  19. The forum is fluid, but maybe let’s try and keep these two threads more about Pete?
