  1. Guys, each one can submit one only, of one motorcycle you own. Just motorcycles! No multiple bikes, no bicycles, no boats (were old fashioned), no buses, no sewing machines, no washing machines I don't know how most people will cope, picture has to be just right, not too big, not too small, with the bike on a three quarters angle, and make it a pretty one because it'll be on the site forever and ever. On the plus side, you can submit a picture not taken this month. Also, make it a nice background, which probably means @XTreme will have to work hard to find one of his bike not in front of a ruined building site. Do take the chance you're probably either locked in by winter or covid to peruse your pictures looking for the ideal one. We'll have this closed on the 18th January, which will give everyone plenty of time. If we have plenty of nice pictures, we'll make it a vote and choose the better ones. PS: trollers, try and not turn this into 20 pages of talking about gobbling each other's cocks, I'll have to read it all ... PSS: to new members, welcome to Adventuremotorcycles.net, every month we have a vote and during December we have three. Older people like that because it reminds them of bingo.
  2. If it's got nothing to do with BOTM why are you waiting for me to start a thread then? Just allow submissions and that's it. BOTM, "forget about it" meaning it's over and replaced with the permanent header?
  3. Yes, but can't say it's clear what you want. Everyone submits a picture and we have the same vote except now there are around 6 winners that get into the sidebar? Doesn't make sense to me from a BOTM perspective, might as well just submit the pictures and you keep refreshing them as you think it's time to do so.
  4. I don’t know you at all, but I can tell you that that doesn’t happen in Rome
  5. I like the Heidenau k60 on my bike, for light offroad and big trips as they are so long lasting and almost puncture proof. They are not nice for wet tarmac and are very noisy at speed on the road.
  6. I don’t know what those are. Chinese?
  7. I know how they clip in, it’s still a faff connect anything on and off to go for a few minutes drive, then having to keep it charged, it’s just something else to do for something that’s usually simple.
  8. Pedro

    Word Police.

To be honest, going shopping for groceries has indeed bacome an adventure over the last months.
  9. It was pretty cold, coldest I saw today was 4ºC going over the hill about 5 minutes after that picture.
  10. What's fair is fair. Fair enough
  11. This was also my office today, a client had the nerve to call me while I was on the bike, at 15:00! The nerve!
  12. Faffing about with a camera everytime you get in the car will get old. Much better to get a proper dashcamera instead that films on a closed loop whenever you drive. It’s a good excuse to buy a nice gopro, though!
  13. I am never too cool for anything
  14. Not disputing that, but surely you can't buy it only from the UK
  15. You sound a lot more british than I imagined Seems like a nice work environment. I work from home nowadays, used to be either in a nice small office or visiting clients. Not worthy of a video.
  16. @XTreme, out of curiosity, since the UK doesn't really make tea, isn't tea that doesn't pass through the UK drinkable? You'll just end up messing it up with milk anyway... Today is Sofia's birthday, I'll be riding over and having dinner with her and her dad. Might have a glass of wine or two... For now, I'm doing a little bit of work and sorting out my place before going, I'm in a shambles if when I leave not knowing when I'll come the house is left not vaccummed and tidied up. It'l gotten to a point I came back to sort it out, so might as well do it before leaving.
  17. Yes, but isn't Napolitan an altogether different dialect?
  18. Good thing, if they are black, round, and have a handle, you have just bought kitchenware.
  19. Well, you're the one who asked.... Talking about boots, I've recently discovered this Italian maker of motorcycle boots. www.stylmartin.it From what I gather they make boots a little in an old fashion way, with proper leather and well stitched good rubber soles, check it out. I have just bought a pair for a little more rainproof than what I had before (which was no whaterproof). They feel good so far. I like their old school motocross style boots, but can't pull those off in a fashion sense.
  20. McGregor is known because he played Obi Wan Kenobi in Star Wars, or formerly by his role in "Trainspotting" ( a film), which is very relevant in UK culture as they really drink a lot ( I do too). He really is a great actor. He's the one with the Sidi motocross boots on the outside
  21. Just saw that Hero's (the motorcycle manufacturer) rider Santosh has been brought back to life by a fellow competitor after a hard fall, here is him on his Hero: Last year, Paulo Gonçalves, Portugal's favourite offroad racer passed away after a crash on a Hero as well, much to the sadness of all Hero staff and Santosh himself. I'm sure there must be a case for the 450cc limit on motorcycle engines not actually working towards rider safety. If everyone is riding at 98% of engine hp capacity to be competitive, is it safer than actually riding faster and heavier bikes on looser grounds with tougher navigation as a deciding factor? Are current organizations making easier to navigate Dakars that make riders ride as fast as they can to just be competitive when before strategy and "dune skills" were the deciding factors? I don't know.
