2022 Ducati DesertX First Impression Ride Review
Pedro replied to Hugh Janus's topic in MOTORCYCLE REVIEWS
So do I Sat on a Multistrada 950 the other day, and it felt wrong in a cheap chinese way, like a triumph 800 gt tiger, a V4 felt nicer but hard and not comfy, looking forward to a ride on one of these. Enough for me to endure calling a Ducati dealership! -
He’s clearly been saving them for when they’re “really” needed

They can't find a big enough top box

Rode from beautiful and cool seaside Ericeira to my home today, where it's hot and summery. The plan was to ride straight over since I have work to do, but in the middle of it got distracted by a short dirt road near the Montejunto area and went to see some more windmills. Had a bit of a moment going uphill in a narrow rocky dirt road where things got a little too uphill and bumpy for my taste, front wheel briefly in the air in first gear had me wondering about how smart it was doing that in a fully fueled 30 liter GS with luggage on , so I stopped for a breather. As is the norm, looking at the picture of the way in it looks like you can drive a Ferrari up there ... 619km on the range indicator: My home somewhere in the distance there, behind the bike: A km or so after and got back to tarmac, in all it was only about 3 or 4 km offroad but were quite interesting. Temperatures increased as I got over the hills going inland and suddenly it's 28º Stopped by the supermarket for fruit and improvised a topcase Got home and made sure my peaches are doing well in the sunshine: And so are the almonds: And that the little birds have finished furnishing their home for this year and have hatched already, you can't really see them though:

BMW 700 with a big top box, huge, potentially with a back rest.
-
My bet is a 750 of sorts, with a big ugly top case!
-
I think it’s going to be another BMW A twin, maybe.
-
The flour got turned into dough, and pizza Despite the frown I captured on both of the female’s faces, it was delicious.
-
Yes, pay someone 500 Euros to take it away, great deal!
-
It's a plastic bag, to prevent the paper bag containing flour getting wet
-
I would go on the same website you bought it from and sell it for 500€ less than what it cost you!
-
Yes, a trolling wind up!
-
Indeed, and not just to get home after trouble either, they properly went for it!
-
Buy some fucking asparagus, dude!
-
Be nice to her, @XTreme, take her and your son out for dinner, find somewhere nice where they serve pork or asparagus, the Poles love asparagus always!

Well, that’s Pete’s problems sorted, then. I think it’s too high a price for humanity to pay for Pete’s son’s bad taste but then again that’s not why Putin’s gone unchained either…
-
No gift, I plan on eating the pizzas!
-
Flights are cheap now, have you thought of introducing the idea to your boy that she might go and spend the ocasional week or two there by herself and thus slaughter a pig or two to get back to her roots?
-
Or maybe his is from the 40s
-
She might not be wrong there, but that’s a normal feeling for most emigrants to have. Can’t see her getting much sympathy out doing things, either, with that attitude. Personaly, I can’t wait to hear of what she thinks of summer there
-
Didn’t those do 100mph?
-
I’ve posted pictures from there before, usually with a clear blue sky. It’s the big clouds that make it look like @Earache’s pictures, his reports always go to places with proper big skies.

This is a very local ride to me and where I go for a coffee or lunch as it provides nice views in less than 40 minutes on tiny roads. Stopped by an old-fashioned windmill and the owner was there, so stopped to buy a bag of special flower that @Sofia likes to use for pizzas with an extra tasty dough. It's pretty cool to eat something made with flower milled in a proper windmill, too. I don't know much about flower but this is a mix of rye so it's darker than pizza flower and has that sower dough kind of thing to it, again, I know nothing about baking. Turns out I just bought the guy leaving, and was left by myself to pack it, and then it turned into a fotoshoot since the sky looked cool and I hadn't taken any nice botm picture this month. All this is within the same 3 or 4km This place is called Montejunto, and it's quite special as a range of hills that separate the weather on the Atlantic coast to the inland start here and go all the way to the only mountain in Portugal, Serra da Estrela. Being the windmill facing inland And facing the ocean side: Getting on a small detour to a less used mill, right over the crest of the hill: Ruins of a long gone mill still with the stone wheel in there right next to a newer one that replaced it and is again not in use: In person and with nicer weather the ocean is quite clearer: The windmills of Montejunto: And said flower bag: Tomorrow or friday it shall be taken Sofia's, and at least a small part of it turned into a pizza
