  1. I wouldn't be online if it wasn't for this place, gave up on participating on other forums, and deleted facebook a long time ago.
  2. Not when it’s an economic one
  3. They do look sweet, but do you think that would be a smooth bike for road trips?
  4. No need to delete pictures, just leave them and I will just consider the latter submission
  5. A lot of them were just construction stopped midway and never lived in. In 2008 you had complete neighbourhoods with hundreds of nice homes in construction and everything stopped and left to fade away in a blaze of bankruptcy. Back then it was easy to spot them from the motorway on the outskirts of big cities. The bubble just burst.
  6. No, it’s wet lol but no, it’s rich and velvety and sort of fruity. But not old like a reserve, it’s a simple wine.
  7. That’s what you want. Love what you have and not have what you love. What’s with the ruins and unfinished construction, though?
  8. You pick your fights, Tym Pretty sure Michelle will have everyone beat this month, though
  9. The mighty GS, carrying 3 bottles of wine accross the Lisbon wine country on a dirt road, on Christmas eve.
  10. It was pretty great, not really a hardcore thing to do
  11. Guys and galls, It's Christmas day, today starts our final 2020 BOTM picture submission thread. This will end on the 31st, at which point the vote will start. As always, your bike, on a picture taken this month, out on a ride.
  12. End of month, Pete, it’s the current statutes!
  13. So, weather today was pretty cool, I rode from home to Ericeira to meet Sofia for an officially non christmas christmas dinner tonight, and took the chance to test a different position on the GoPro. Weather varied from a 6ºC minimum on the hills to a 12ºC on most of the trip, pretty sunny so I was very comfortable on my woolen socks and new boots First stop was by the Tejo river for a coffee on my favourite spot near home Rode up and over my favourite hill, all my ideal lunch spots were closed. They would normally only be open for lunch on weekends, but being the 24th December I thought I'd catch a break, I didn't. Stopped by a local wine producer's shop and bought a couple, or three, nice bottles of wine, a white "Alvarinho", a red "Syrah", and a red reserve with a three cast mix of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Touring Nacional. If you're going to pack something where a top case would go, might as well be wine. On the previous picture you also see the GoPro on top of the side case, position is nice but the angle is a little off, not too happy with how it turned out. Also filmed with a low and forward angle, in front of the engine head with a view to the front wheel, but hated that view. Will post a video later. Brief stop at an old monastery which is part of the Torres Lines, for a cockpit view picture. A brief stop on a short dirt road through Lisbon's wine country, pretty awesome weather today, it'd be freezing had it been cloudy. Was pretty hungry by 14:00, stopped at a small town for something warm to eat. Lunch had already been finished at this small cafe, so I ate the last remaining slices of pork roast with a little gravy as a sandwich. It was pretty unassuming, but tasted great and as the meat was hot it was very comforting. No more pictures, this was about 30 minutes before making it to Ericeira, it was a pretty cool ride. Rode without any agressiveness or sporty handling, just a nice winter cruise on top of the bike. Video won't come out today, I think, am too disappointed with the pictures to feel like editing right now.
  14. So far so good, pretty cold too
  15. There is a long history of street races in Portugal and Spain, but usually small capacity two strokes racing on village streets, not actually roads. This is the most known portuguese street race, it's packed with spectators on sidewalks, in the summer heat, 85cc of fury racing on bumpy cobblestone streets. Not really a TT, I know, but it's colourful
  16. I agree, too much of the forward view was blocked. Missed all the traffic I passed too, so made me look less of an hero Thing is, the most you can position a camera to the rear, that's how you get a nice feeling of speed on the video, maybe when I have luggage on I'll try and get it at that same point rearward but more outside so more of the road ahead is shown.
  17. I was thinking it seemed odd that they were climbing around an igloo
  18. I can't figure out what those 4 things to the left of the road sign are.
  19. that's something that really takes an hardcore rider
