Just totalled up and I've had 19 since the launch of DSUK. This was the best.......

I think most of us do.......but that doesn't really clear up why go for the complete opposite to what you had before? After all......the rest of us are still in the same genre as we were before.

Back seats are for birds! There were times years ago that I had to give a lift to a mate but I fucking hated it. I used to tell them......sit right back, keep your feet on the pegs, and don't fucking touch me. With a bird it was sit forward, and hold onto me if you need to. If they weren't up close and holding on then it required some sharp braking so they'd rub their tits in your back! Simple pleasures back then!

I was thinking back to DSUK days, cos it's now 17 years since that site launched, and comparing what we rode then to what we ride now! I had a Transalp, Tym had the same KLR, Moon had a Transalp, Bob had an AT, Catteeclan had a Transalp, Yen had an AT, Pedro had a Transalp etc. The point here is that we all ride very similar bikes now........exactly the same genre! So really our riding habits or tastes haven't changed that much over the last 17 years. But there's one exception.... @Buckster Back then he was riding a KTM........but now he's on a Harley cruiser! You couldn't get a more radical change! What can we learn from this?

I was out for an hour......but it's overcast and very humid......so not ideal conditions. Filled up with petrol on the way home (I always keep a full tank) and I used €8 worth to do 160kms/100 miles this weekend. That's cheap motorcycling.......over 70mpg I think.
