Every 8K miles / 12800K kms for mine! The major inspection where you check the valve clearances is every 16K miles / 25600 kms.
I had the oil and filter changed at 15500 kms and 18800 kms.....next one will be done around 22200 kms. (I just passed 21K today)
@Tango....the Rieju Aventura needs an oil change every 5000km, valve check every 10000km.
Bit of a difference from the Honda!

The service intervals on the Chinky that i had were, according to the handbook, every 3000 miles, never bothered me because it only covered 4000 miles during my ownership of 5 years.
But the guy at the dealer told me, put good synthetic oil in it and it would be good for 6000 miles..

But where was the engine in your bike made, Pete?
The bike was assembled in Thailand, but AFAIK the complete engine gets shipped from Japan.

The Reiju Aventura engine is pretty much a straight up copy of the Honda CB500 engine from what I've read.
The critical word there is "copy" Bob.
Like I bought a genuine Honda stand, whereas I could have paid half the price on Amazon for a copy.
But with something structural like that I wasn't taking any chances. Same goes for the engine!

I have heard that 500 motor is up to Japanese quality, it is well tested and in use in the Fantic where it has got good reviews.
Apparently it has two fuel tanks and a 600 mile range!

That shock linkage is a disgrace, absolutely filthy.
I know......you couldn't see it that clearly when it was on the side stand!
I'll be dealing with that!

Not looking too bright here......around 17C and rain!
So it's unlikely that I'll be able to get out, though things can change I suppose!
Anyway......is anybody doing anything? Or are you all going to continue just looking at the board and fucking trolling at every opportunity?

Today may well have been the last ride of my Sixties as rain is forecast for the weekend.
Incredible that I've ridden through my Teens, Twenties, Thirties, Forties, Fifties, and Sixties without suffering Death and Dismemberment!
In fact, I've never even managed to break a bone or get laid up in Hospital. And I've never totaled any of the 67 bikes, or made an Insurance claim.
It seems that nothing went according to the script......I'll have to try harder I suppose!
Anyway, this run was to Juan Cortes in Baza to get my centre stand fitted!
So here's some stuff from the showroom.......and I have to say that the Rieju Aventura was spectacular! It really ticked all the boxes........except for one! The engine!
In case you weren't aware, Rieju are a long established Spanish company who in the past had mainly used Yamaha engines! Now they're using fucking Chinkies!
So they've got this stunning looking machine......and then they fuck it all up by sticking a POS Chinkie motor in it!
And here's the end result of the trip......centre stand fitted!
And it was fitted for free as a birthday present! I also got hugs and kisses from the young lady in the office as well.
Passed hundreds of bikes going in the opposite direction on the way back.....all headed to the MotoGP in Jerez!
Much as I'd love to be living the dream back there with you guys......I think I'll keep suffering it out over here!

Reservoir...using big French words I see...
That's the word all English speakers use.
In Spanish it's embalse.

Your top box is blocking 2/3 of the view of the lac..is it that hard to remove when taking a picture ?
It's a reservoir not a lac!

Just a weird thing all around. Only Suzuki could put that atom bomb of and engine in a bike and fuck it up. Just looks so weird, no wonder I have never seen one before, obviously not a massive sales success.
I've never seen one on the road!

280 miles....these days I'm only interested in anything east from here. I'm absolutely done with the west side!
Pretty sure that OR alone is about the same size as the UK.
What's caused the difference between the east and the west?

I think we should show a bit of latitude and let it in! But it's Pedro's call!

He'd jump at that shit for sure!
But I find it so depressing that you go into bike showrooms these days and they're just full of Chinkies using a multitude of different brand names.
The irony is they've done it by building the sort of bikes that people actually want......like in the under 500CC Adv/Trailie market.
And the Japs have just let them do it because they've been on a mission to build the bikes that they think people should have. Which is the polar opposite of what people actually want.
