Nice one Ian , cracking weather for it . I'm pretty sure Fred is a bit more fussier than you imagine, I think he'd want it to have a heartbeat at least

A classic holloway. In Northern France they call those 'Chemin de Bocage '

It's incredible how soft some of the lanes are for the end of July , usually at this time of the year hard ruts are your only real problem .

Yes , but I'm polite to them unless they start with old 'you shouldn't be riding that bike here' . In that scenario I question the twats knowledge of rights of way . Nine times out of ten they haven't got a clue , so I inform them in a very condescending tone.

Once I got Bulford I set off across the Plain again to get to Tuckers Grave where some of my mates were camping for the weekend ............. Once they'd set up there tents we sampled some of the local cider ........... and then I rode home at dusk down a couple more local lanes ........... It was a long day , I was out for 13 hours but the bike was an absolute joy to ride . A great day out

Some of the lanes were a bit overgrown and some were full of flowers .......... Then it was on to Salisbury Plain and the Old Bulford Road. I stopped here for cheeky ride around the woods and a coffee...........

First ride with any off-road yesterday Fred. It was much more manageable , less weight and now it's approx 2 inches lower so I can flat foot it with my right leg. It was a joy to ride it on those easy lanes and even in the ruts I saved it a couple of times where previously I would probably have hit the deck

Some of them have restrictions imposed to stop damage in the winter months ................ Then I got to one of my favourites but unfortunately it had a temporary closure imposed so I had to make a detour ................. So I made my way to a further part of the route which is the glorious track on top of Walbury Hill ............
