I had a chance for a mornings ride today so I took the chance for a first proper ride on my Vespa GTS300. I decided to head up over the A420 a then a loop back to home via Sherston . A good rag along the A420 showed 82mph (on the clock) which was exhilarating as it was breezy , I think the speedo may be a bit ambitious but it was fun all the same . Turned off to head through Castle Combe ........... From there I rode up the tarmac section of the Fosseway to get to Grittleton. The entrance to Grittleton House (very posh school)........... From there I took a few back roads to get to Malmesbury ...........

Personally my favourite is a single cylinder 600-650cc I've had quite a few bikes with this type of engine and for my type of riding I love them.

I wouldn’t have thought so . The word has probably gone out to not bother trying to take on the Vespa being ridden by a bloke with one leg

I hope you were doing 40mph

That would have been a fairer fight I suppose. I bet that lad on the KTM won't be telling his mates how he got burned off by a Vespa

I've been out for a quick ride on the new (to me) Vespa this morning . On the Keynsham road I saw some bike lights behind the car that was behind me , next minute he passed me (rather too close for my liking) . As he passed I saw it was a KTM125 , game on !! So I passed him with ease on the next bit of straight and left him for dead. @Six30 , was your nephew out this morning ? if so he's just been owned by a Scooter ...........
