Hope it works out ok for you Tym, let us know how you get on.

I'm going to be 62 soon Pedro, I very much doubt if the NHS would spend anymore money on a fancy new leg. I'm not even sure they would replace some of the components on this one now, so I'll hang onto this one for as long as I can. It has some pretty groovy components for a NHS funded leg as it is so I'm grateful for what I've got.

Yes, sad day. RIP Diana Rigg.

This may be the first time ever that Tym wasn't the first to get banned

Go on google earth and look at some parts of downtown Detroit nowadays, that's very scary.

Great photos Pedro and I like the abandoned palace , what a shame about the palm trees.

You could live to 150 and you'd still not achieve that (in my experience) A smaller , lighter bike could open up so many more opportunities for you.
-
Get yourself a 250 as well as the Tiger Chris, then you can stray off onto other stuff knowing that you should be able to get safely out. If I lived where you live I'd be exploring every chemin/track I could find

It always amazes me that in France it's hard to find a campsite in July/August without pre-booking as they're rammed. But in June/ September they're all feckin closed ?

Yep, I drill holes in the sprocket cover on some bikes to try and alleviate the problem.

I could show some photos of my brother and his wife but they ride Harley's so perhaps I won't bother

I saw that guy at the ABR festival last year

The thing is you didn't panic and no harm done to yourself. btw, your other half is cheating as he has much longer legs than you

That's exactly why I don't wear an open face helmet. Mind you, I've been had on the nose even with full face on

I did 100 miles all in, roads and trails. None of the trails are long so you have to do a bit of roadwork inbetween.

Now we've had a fair bit of rain recently so I was trying to decide whether or not to do the next lane. You have to ride in a stream for about 400yds and it can get deep but I decided to go for it. Unfortunately the photos are crap as the sun was coming though the bushes and one more narrow lane down over the hill to Stanton Prior before heading home..............

Next I dropped down over Ubley Drove where you get a great view of Blagdon Lake......... and then some more old lanes that I haven't ridden for about 5 years, it was good to ride these local lanes again..... Then I did the climb up Guy's Hill. This photo is taken from the top looking down (you have to ride back down it) but it doesn't do justice to the steepness of this lane. It's a great climb over rocks and tree routes but can be a real bitch when it's wet.......

Onto an old Drove Way on the Mendip Hills near Priddy........ This lane was well overgrown, this is what happens when you restrict the lanes from vehicular use, they get overgrown and then no one can use them

I love this old sign on the climb up from Croscombe, you know if you see that sign then the lane is going to be good...... and time for a coffee stop, I am saving a fortune during these Covid times by taking my own flask and sandwiches ? and
