I'm trying to get in as much riding as I can at the moment. On 22nd July I'll be going in for the 11th operation on my leg, after that it'll be approx 6 months before I can wear my prosthetic and ride again. It's certainly not the idea time to have it done (I would have preferred October) but if I delay it any longer I may lose my slot and there is a huge backlog for surgery because of covid

2021 Honda CRF300L Rally Review ā First Ride

Don't ride it like your XR400 or a DR350 because you won't get anywhere. There's no power off the bottom so you can't knock it through the gears and let the torque do the work. You have to thrash the engine and then it will make sense, hold onto the gear longer. A lot of people just can't get on with them as they think there's no power but you just have to re-train your brain. My mate sold his 300L in less than 2 months but he's a serial bike changer so that might not say much. -
They're still popular with the power-ranger types in Abergavenny bus station

NGK CR7E is quite a common plug, loads of them for sale on eBay. I'd be more concerned about a mechanic who tells you to supply your own parts It does look like a fit of a fiddly job to change them but definitely doable. Here's a video I found on youtube........... -
It's a great engine, I can't see what weight it is but if they can get it at 150kg or less it could be a proper litlle pocket rocket............. Just had a look on the UK website, it's 188kg

I love you too Fred

No problem Fred, it was Dave's advice that helped me out with mine .
-
No problem, it will go onto eBay then .
-
It looks like you caught that just in time Fred, pay attention to the cam chain tensioner while you're in there. The one on my XR650L caused me a fair bit of aggro.

Lol, it's nothing bad at all. I have an unused Riders's Manual for R 1200 GS and I wondered if you wanted it. It's 09.2009 1st edition . Like I say , if you want it I will post it too you.

You cruel bugger , those bikes can't be more than a few months old The youngster will learn eventually , it's not all about using more and more throttle when the going gets sticky

I suppose that bike makes sense in USA but to me it looks like an expensive waste of time.
