Been there , done that When I was flipping bikes I bought a CB125F with the crank gone, the lad didn't realise you had to put oil in the engine every so often Gave him £250 for the bike , got an engine off eBay for £250, fitted it and tided it up. Got £1100 for it .

I just had a look at the Honda parts list, you are right Ian, the lock ring sits above the oil seal. Obviously different to my Suzuki

No retaining ring above the oil seal on the donkey , just one above the dust seal ......

Did you put that fence up Phil ? have you left a gap to get the bike through ?

Is there some sort of metal ring that sits on top them and into a groove in the fork leg ?
