So about a month ago I came across this bike for sale, I'll admit that this model was not on my radar at all but after going to have a look at it I bought it there and then. No matter how good a secondhand bike is there are usually some things you need to address , whether that be personal preference or something not working quite right. I have bought this bike primarily for trail riding , it probably won't be a dual purpose bike like my CRF250 Rally was as the Donkey can fulfill that role. So with that in mind there were some things it needed to be right for me. First and foremost was a change of handlebars as the O/E bars were too narrow and not high enough so a Pro-Taper CR High was ordered along with some SW Motech 20mm risers and Acerbis X-Factor hand guards...... The O/E bars were stripped of their belongings ................... and the new items fitted. It all went together without too much fuss...................... and then some Oxford Advanced heated grips were fitted...............

That looks like a great area to ride, I reckon the Donkey would lap up those bends and rough surfaces

It's an Enduro bike, if you stick to the (race) schedule you'll be changing oil every two seconds but it's not really needed for trail riding. It sounds like you've made the right call Fred, especially if you don't have to change the suspenders .........

It's probably 25 years since I walked through there. When I was 15 I used to cycle down there and fish the river so some good memories of the area.

The Yeti is a superb car. Still reasonably untouched by unnecessary shit as long as you get the petrol version.

Paolo and I decided to have a walk by the river Frome today, this entailed a short journey in the car and then we were ready to go. We parked by the bridge at Frenchay ................ Fed the ducks from the bridge .............. and then we were off......................... It was a bit of a rough path in places but very enjoyable , lots of dog walkers out and a few very fit people running and splashing through the muddy bits

@Saul I found an ace helmet holder in Bristol yesterday ..............

So did you get a jacket @skyrider and more importantly will you wearing it while riding a bike ...........

I'm sure it's perfect for your job but it's a Diesel estate car. I nearly fell asleep just looking at it ..................
