  1. I do. A French press, aero press (makes very smooth coffee) and a nespresso capsule machine thingy cos everyone else loves coffee. I use to love coffee, drank the good stuff all day, realised I was drinking too much of it went cold turkey (brrr don’t recommend doing that) then when I was ready to start drinking it again it tasted like ashtray but I do remember how good it used to taste. So send away! On the bike front the 9T is King but it’s not a bike for distance. The suspension is far too hard and I wouldn’t want it changed because it’s so much fun to ride as is. Did make me start to think a BMW would be better for Spain.
  2. Jesus H Christ what do you think of me, I would never be so low. I never go dogging on a bike, strictly cars only, real class.
  3. But would it? Sugary bun and sharp coffee. Lovely. If you like coffee. I don’t
  4. Was having a dilemma about which bike to take, the 9T and the Bandit have both been idol too long for my liking and I’m imagining fluids congealing and stuff clogging up so I want to ride them both- insert own joke about getting your pipes cleaned here Mr Slowly offers to ride the Bandit so long as I don’t “piss off overtaking things” until he’s familiarised himself with it. Fair enough. A sedatish ride in the chilly sun. Pulled over specifically to get a shot for you keepeeon bastards. Rumwells Farm Shop and Cafe. Have driven/ridden past it many many times but it never appealed so I never went in but I googled best cafe near Taunton and there it is with rave reviews and an apparent love of doughnuts. 100’s a week they make. Put your order in by 12 the day before and they make them fresh that morning for collection or you can wing it and see what bakes are available. After taking my gloves off twice to take photos they’re now icey (see how I suffer for you ) Rumwells are fully booked, outside seating only for a cup of tea/handwarmer. Mr Slowly has an iced bun that’s so nice he starts smiling (and you lot know codgers don’t smile) so it must of been goooood. Then one last car park photo (especially for @Pedro) and home. Forgot how much fun the 9T is so we rode back the same way agreeing to enjoy our own pace, except by now Mr Slowly is clearly ‘familiar’ with my bike and suddenly I’m playing catch up Stopped at my Pops house on the way home with surprise doughnuts. Muchos happiness, his daughter, doughnuts, a motorbike to look at and I wasn’t stopping- his favourite type of human contact! Back home for Mr Slowlys shepherds pie (excellent) and doughnuts. Bonus, Rumwells have a dedicated gluten free kitchen (unheard of) and I’m made up to have my first doughnut in over 15 years! Bit too sweet aren’t they! Went to the Triumph garage to get you some pics but it was closed. Next time
  5. Well I have a couple of car park style shots but I’m frightened to post them I was just going to let it slide and never mention going out for a ride again
  6. Hmm That brassica’s not a cabbage in the uk. I’m thinking maybe it’s what we’d call Collard Greens.
  7. I have to bother taking the photo and uploading it, 0.5-1 would be a fairer score.
  8. I’ll see if I can manage a car park photo (Pedro’s favourite ) cos thats the only time I’m going to even consider taking my gloves off
  9. Well I wudda but now I’m going to be thinking about the pasting I’ll get when I as usual return with no photos
  10. Happy Sunday Got to get myself a new sewing machine by the end of the day or face not completing my chair in the upholstery course and I can’t let happen. I’ve replaced so many mechanical/electrical things recently I’m starting to wonder whats left to break The time constraints are now tight, too tight so I definitely shouldn’t be going out for a ride today but
  11. Got a slappable face I heard.
  12. Hmm me neither.. except Rumwells is one stop before Sheppys, ones focus must be on something else?
  13. Nice walk Cheesy chips, haven’t had those in a while. Did the unofficial dish of Canada a few weeks back Poutine (but with garafalo mozzarella rather than curds) and red wine beef dripping gravy, amazing how many languages cheesy chips translates into Have you ever stopped off in Rumwells down the A38 (next to Sheppey Cider and the Triumph garage)? I never fancied the look of it but I read they’re into making doughnuts, make hundreds a week. You can order up to midday the day before and they’ll make them fresh for you in the morning just before they open.
  14. It’s worth the risk, well if you enjoy that sort of risk that is. For the first time ever I caught a chair lift back down a mountain rather than ski it last week, that was a vin chaud related decision I stopped for one because my feet were cold but it was a tiny place and they didn’t have any change.. so I had to have two, just as I was finishing the others turned up and wanted one and I couldn’t be rude so.. Somehow I sensibly decided the icey slopes and my sloshy stomached self wouldn’t make good a good match so got the chairlift back down
  15. Looks gorgeous! Right up my street. Apart from the snow shoeing you can keep that ! Chair lift up the mountain and sliding down on slippery sticks is the way to go.. literally checkout, it’s dumb and dangerous
  16. Sod the film, three hours in a cinema needing a pee getting a numb bum and missing out on a roast?!
  17. I don’t know what to think about wealthy parents. I kind of am a bit of one now and I’m not sure how much financial support you can offer before you’re turning your kids into privileged aholes?! Obviously no support as they flounder their way out the gates into reality is just mean but wheres the line?
  18. I have so many jobs to do today and next week but this can’t be arsed mood I woke up in isn’t good If I’m not on here much today dandy, if I am then I’m sabotaging future me.. as bloody usual I think the answer must be more tea…
