  1. Ark at you, not the first person to spring to mind for a game of scrabble (Men)ingioma. A slow growing tumour.
  2. nope cos the woman would have been imprisoned by an out of touch misogynistic ol' twat n serving an exceptionally long term while a man would be on a suspended sentence making coin writing a song about stabbing poor ol' Delilah
  3. Jesus wept. You said you wanted a poll to liven things up but this?! The bloke won it, taking it away would be mean spirited. Mind you I am also surprised Pedro’s didn’t win, then again we all know how much everyone loves a shot of a British bike on British turf.
  4. Got a lot of catching up to do after being away so mostly working but if the forecast is correct (I won't tempt fate by believing it is) then at least there will be.... 🏍🏍🏍
  5. Er yer, heat it up before you stick it down obv.
  6. Yep She had a cold and wasn’t firing on all cylinders so only a couple of swipes in my direction today. When I presented the foot stall I want to redo and my plan she said “Well you don’t make things easy for yourself do you, I can’t imagine what’s in your mind so I’ll help you BUT I take no responsibility for it” and ”That foam will be too high and will look weird, sorry but I have to say it” I reply “the whole rooms going to look weird, weirds fine” “Hmm I look forward to seeing it” ”Better practice your poker face then” ”Without any doubt” A couple of hours later I sit on the new foam stool and call out in a whingy way “Jill Jill I don’t like it, the foams to high” She almost cracked a smile at that but settled for saying “CaaRooline ” in a tone I’d say was somewhere between fond and murderous. You’ll be very surprised to hear it’s a tone ‘I’m quite familiar with
  7. Make sure it’s flexible enough to accommodate the curve or it’ll end up puckered which is making my OCD twitch from here Depending on the type of sticker warming it up with a hair dryer can help.
  8. Been flat out recently and today doesn't look much better. Have to shoehorn in my upholstery class this morning and I don't have my homework done so I'm expecting a savaging from the tutor. I tried very hard to get it done but it was one of those jobs that nothing and I mean absolutely nothing went right with including not one but two machines breaking, a 4-5 hours has so far taken from 5pm to past midnight for three days in a row and it's still not done. Can't imagine that's going to hold much water with the Eviscerator!
  9. So does everyone just stay in when the weather does that?
  10. Wow that'll be a different experience! Congratulations. Hope you enjoy it. So long as you don't fall asleep on it, it is a Honda after all
  11. Urban dictionaries demo of the word is urr interesting - Bikies Bikies is plural for bikie. A Bikie is a member of a motor cycle club. -Hey I hear your mother digs bikies. -Yeah she's a real gang bang whore. Think I prefer my imagining of a Hells Angel gang who like a nice cup of tea and a bickie
  12. LOL New word to me so I read this as 'bickie' as in a nice biscuit to go with your cup of tea. https://www.theolivepress.es/spain-news/2023/01/23/former-hells-angels-bikie-gang-leader-frank-hanebuth-to-face-trial-in-spain/
  13. Todays excellent result - Was on the verge of committing to buying an expensive oven a few weeks ago but some of the reviews were damning so I held off until I had time to look into it further. In the mean time I called domestic and general to try and get the old one fixed. The oven has been insured with them for over 20years (it came free with the oven and continued at £7 a month - I've had my monies worth). They can't fix it, there are no longer spares. Got an email this evening as they cant fix it would I like a replacement free of charge?!! Bloody hell I don't remember reading that in the small print. The oven offered for free is a £700 range and has mixed reviews so not my cup of tea but they offer upgrades of three different SMEGs and a Rangemaster all with excellent reviews and discounted by 700-800 quid! Can't believe it, I don't pay for insurance generally because I almost never claim and when I have they always squirm out of their obligations. Whoop whoop.
  14. Thanks Clive, at least someone round here can do a mod/admin job
  15. Congratulations. Doesn't seem five minutes since you bought it! What is this "extra money" you speak of? Is it like spare wine?
  16. Hmm iPhone didnt find it and MacBook didnt find it. Just come up with 'Your day today' obviously missing something.
  17. @XTreme the ‘Result!’ thread keeps disappearing from the search function? Can’t find it. Help?
  18. I think you’ll find no-ones told them that the plasticine is for stealing casts not making parts
  19. Hmm well had a change of heart on the van cos missed a trick. Had only put down the deposit, was gonna pay on Saturday so cancelled it. It’s a stop gap so why buy it? Can lease a brand new one for three years cheaper than I can buy it and claim it back against vat. That way it’s a new vehicle and we can hand it back before it blows. Winner winner chicken dinner.. I hope.
