Another long day finally finished. Where’s my work shirker allowance gone, I’m bored of being sensible. More of the same tomoz. Heyho!

Without a doubt. Colchicine is an extreme drug in many ways, it has a very small range before toxicity (inducing kidney failure or even death) so even tiny amounts can make you feel shite. Harsh side effects are common. Not going to say anything rude about your Dr but that plan is completely arse about tit. Allopurinol first, colchicine for emergency. If you’re on allopurinol and need colchicine then the dose is wrong. Please go back. A life free of debilitating gout is easily round the corner

What dose allopurinol are you on? There’s a lot of leeway in dosage on Allopurinol and if you’re suffering it’s worth frequent reviews until an optimum dose is arrived at. Most people get one increase in dose and think that’s it but that’s not the end of finding a therapeutic dose. Things like splitting a larger dose into twice a day can be very effective. Sometimes persevering with your treatment provider is the only way to free yourself. As you know allopurinol is no use at stopping a bout of gout in full swing, it only works as a preventive measure. Sometimes drugs don’t work effectively simply because the patient puts up with the symptoms rather than having the dose adjusted. Hope that’s not you?! If it’s effecting your daily living medication is worth a second/third/fourth look. It’s worth noting down the duration, frequency and intensity of your attacks and giving it to whoever in charge of your treatment

I have not. I’m guessing it’s a lot of nudes and trippy stuff?

Coincidence. Nothing good comes from giving up cider.

Nah in the West Country that’s foreplay, gotta beat them with a shitty stick, tis the only way to get them moving, you should see the state of my second swimming pool, they think I only use the indoor one and I know they’ve been helping themselves from the fridge, as if bread and water isn’t enough, bloody ingrates.

Work shy peasants. Since the popo confiscated my birch rod everything’s gone downhill.

I simply wouldn’t survive.

Have you read up on post viral fatigue? It’s very common after an illness and can go on for sometime. You feel a bit better so you do a little of something and are pushed back again. Baby steps.

Sounds like it might do the trick nicely. Definitely worth giving a go. I’ll book it into experimental kitchen and report back. Thanks

Can’t imagine motobiker ever doing anything so daft Anyway I didn’t go to a dealer, I was offered a less than one year old bike with just under a thousand miles on the clock for £3000 (who I knocked down to £2900 - I have no shame when it comes to negotiating ), you’d have to be daft to turn that down! Especially if you’re about to do a bit of a gruelling trip on one and have the chance to get to know the bike better before the off. So there, can I go now?

Morning Mingers Too much work on today to waste time on here… oops

Hi Bob (jolly good another Bob, this won’t get confusing at all ). I was going to say you need to ask @Motobiker he’s the experienced one on these matters and gives excellent tried n tested advice but I see he’s already stepped up to the plate. My advice would be to listen to him, never steered me wrong.

Wanted a laughy face and a sad one in response to that!

Happens all the time. You’re not going to conveniently fall next to a pull cord so folk get the ‘Help’ pendant to wear round their neck so if they fall they can summon help easily… and then never wear them
-
True I’ve met a fair amount of trailer trash in my time, I’m too polite to name names..
-
I now have visions of someone laying on the carpet after a fall looking at the pull cords thinking “bugger”
-
Wot you on about, they’re not woke lovies names they’re the choices of trailer trash.

Insomnia. Can't get no sleep.

Excellent news. So all it takes is skipping a nights sleep and being so tired you then sleep through, easy peasy -
Flat out today and probably the rest of the week. Not looking forward to it much but still glad I mostly frittered the weekend away enjoying it. Not riding your bike for any length of time is a slow torture and then when you do the happiness top up is of the charts

Thought someone would pick up on that, was gonna crop it out of the photo but decided to see who would be first to comment, you win
