  1. Everything everyone has said about avoiding riding this weekend was true. Forgot it was the first friday of the school holidays. Motorway packed, filtering bloody hard work and it pissed down. Nevermind made it to the Pennies and have decided as the weather is shite I’m going to postpone riding the Lake District til tomoz and mainly eat steak n lounge around. This beast (Ultrglide) weighs over 400kg! The bloke who rides it (with his wife on the back) is 73 and looks like a strong breeze would knock him over. Goes to show you can’t judge a book by its cover. I might remind him of that later cos (and you lot will love this) he spoke solely to Mr Slowly who knows almost nothing about the bikes and his wife insisted I looked at her kitchen pans Old people ay wot u gonna do?
  2. That’s gorgeous. And not what I was expecting. Dunno why
  3. Hope the journeys smooth and the bikes everything you want it to be.
  4. Bloody hell @Marcel you're not wrong!
  5. You've got about 30 seconds before six starts pestering you for pics
  6. No worries. Glad you’re sorted. New bike new bike he got new bike
  7. Four times isn't that bad, well not if you see the way I do it Could be any of the things you mention or a combination couldn't it. There are balance tests that can be done to assess you. You'll likely come out of it with a good rating regardless due to all the riding you do but it can act as a baseline observation and then if you feel any deterioration it would show in the next test. I can't remember anything useful about them other than they work by you moving and your eye movements being tracked. We do lose some of our balance as we age but you might just be rusty, you were off your bike for months and months after the op and the new prosthetic limb isn't going to be the same as the last, even a few mm's difference is going to cock things up for a while. But I'd go for an eye test, deterioration in vision is usually quite a hidden cause because it happens so gradually. Also and I hate to suggest this on here but it makes a world of difference try yoga, you'll be shocked how much of it you can't do and how quickly it improves. Balance exercises make a big difference, if you can't find prosthetic limb friendly yoga moves then google balance exercises, thats what a physio would give you to do. Overtime our body shape and weight distribution shifts but sometimes the brain doesnt catch up, thats why pregnant women have to be cautious exercising, they are well aware they're the size of a whale and waddle like a Mr Potatohead but the brain carries on with the old pathways making you prone to falls or worse, exercises can help markedly by laying down right pathways.
  8. They've got surprisingly close on a couple of occasions and they do like a bit of killing. They took themselves of for a walk once and the girl down the lane no longer has guinea pigs
  9. My mother in law has two setters and if they put up a hare they can really shift, its quite magnificent but they've never caught a single one, they just can't change direction quickly enough the hares arent so stupid to run in a straight line.
  10. Blimey I didnt expect that- Size: Globally head and body length ranges 40cm to 70cm (16-26 in.), with a short (7-13cm / 3-5 in.) white tail. Large (8-10cm / 3-4 in.) ears. Adults weigh 2.5kg to 7kg (5.5-15.5 lbs.) according to season and habitat.
  11. If you want to throughly depress yourself watch this. Its excellent, sad but excellent. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0010s10
