Hi Saul Welcome I’ve had a Himalyan since 2018. The only problem I’ve had with it is an annoying aftermarket Datatool alarm and the brakes which is known fault they rectified on later models. The older RE Continental GT however has had problems but it seems most of those have been caused by the incompetent tinkering of the previous owner and poor maintenance. They’re a great sightseeing bike. Never really have to consider the road surface (within reason obviously) because it goes wherever you’re looking. 57’s not considered old round here

My mates an NHS clinical psychologist and Covid n the lockdowns have had a massive impact on peoples perspectives and mental health for too many reasons to post here. She and her colleagues are overwhelmed. Personally I think people prefer to keep themselves busy rather than think about life or the things that make them unhappy that they need to face or change and when that busy carousel stops and it’s just them in the quiet with no distractions for some there’s so much they can’t or don’t want to deal with they go a bit crazy. But that’s just my opinion.

Been offered my Covid jab tomoz. Thats good going isn’t it. Didn’t take that appointment though because theres always had to be two weeks between your jab and being allowed entry so I booked for November. Just checked the rules for Spain, they’ve changed to “If you have had a booster you are considered covered with immediate effect” Plus the date of your booster is no longer relevant. Looks like although hospital numbers are going up the “living with it” part of things has arrived.

Yes we are. If its a dry winter like last year London may well face water shortages in 2023 and its not just London who are gonna be facing problems with water supplies. Hard to believe in a country where it’s constantly pissing down and water logged but greed and incompetence knows no bounds!
