Nice one. Was there a specific brand of chain lube that you were after? I should have shares in Costa! Often the only place to get a coffee in the hospitals as a visitor when I was working! Used to cost me a fortune, especially when I had a colleague with me! Somehow it always seemed to be down to me to buy the coffees and buns!

I'm no fan of Spotify either. I did try to use it for a while, but gave up on it. All the adverts just got on my t*ts. I tend to use Internet radio stations now. The ones I use have fewer ads, but my musical taste is less mainstream, so I guess the advertisers go for the more popular stations. Do you still need an Apple Music account to use the phone, or have they moved away from that now?

Sounds familiar. I resent having to open an iTunes account and having to give them a valid credit card details in order to be able to use their stuff! NO! Just No!

Funnily, I felt the same way when work replaced our Android phones with iPhones! Oh how we laughed every time there was an update available and the IT department sent an urgent message to all iPhone users, not to install the update until they tested it to make sure that the apps we used would still work! And then we'd wait for the inevitable patch to be tested too. Happy days!

With Apple stuff, the only time you see the light is when you've got your head between your knees, waiting for them to Roger you again!

After our little walk down to the boulangerie to get bread and have a coffee, I got Mandy's Bonneville out of the garage and put some tubing onto the float bowl drains to check the float heights. Seemed that the fuel level was too high in both. Adjusting them was a PITA! Trying to make fine adjustments by bending a metal tab is prehistoric! The only way to bend the tabs was to remove the floats and float valves, bend the tab, put it all back together and check. Rinse and repeat multiple times until the levels look vaguely right. It wasn't helped by the high winds and rain showers here today. Anyway, I think I'll try to run the bike, once all the fuel spilt over the engine has evaporated! Maybe tomorrow, if the weather is OK.

Yes, Pete, you've got to wonder why they need an oil change that frequently!

Obviously Brembo's are top-end brakes, but you never know, those ones may have been used on a more mainstream bike? Have they got a model type or number? If so, a search on eBay may throw up some possibilities.

So, there's a good chance that they're used on other bikes, just a case of working out which ones and then seeing if rebuild kits are available for them if you can't get them from KTM.

But where was the engine in your bike made, Pete? I can't remember where the engine in the Reiju is made. Loncin? Anyway, the thing that really worries me on a lot of the Chinese bikes is the 3000 mile/ 5000km service interval! Why is that necessary? Hmmmmm?

The older ones had the nickname "exploders"! I wonder if they've sorted that?

What make are those calipers? There's a possibility that they're used by other bike manufacturers on their bikes? I found that the front calipers on an old CB750F2N that I had were exactly the same as used on the early model Triumph Street Triple 675! Ones from the Honda were as rare as rocking horse shit, but there were plenty of the Triumph ones around!

The Reiju Aventura engine is pretty much a straight up copy of the Honda CB500 engine from what I've read. Some of the cycle parts on that bike look pretty well manufactured too. Not too sure about the twin tanks though! If the bike is as frugal as the CB500s, then a single 20 litre tank would be enough?

The forecast here isn't too smart either, but I don't usually get out on the bike at weekends anyway. Some more Bonneville carburettor diagnostics could be on the cards. Probably some beer drinking too! Cheers!
