  5. Nah mate she is still keen. You should see her handle a twin engine 40 foot rib out in the bay. Proper petrol head. The Harbour Commission in town have already offered her a job on the Harbour patrol boat next year. She also has chosen her A2 bike for when she passes her test. She is also talking about the RNLI, now that would worry me, but would be very proud nonetheless.

  6. Took the big Honda to the dealer today for the yearly MOT.. well they came with a van to take it away, Full of cold myself or Dying of man flu...ill-ist bloke who ever survived anyway got my Honda ANF125 back from my mate. I loaned it to him 5 years ago when he had a Heart attack and could not ride a bigger bike...so now the power house is back home bought it to use as a shopper..got a 150 power kit to fit and Ali wheels from a Honda sum-ut-else so i can fit better tyres..will do for the winter.

  7. Took it apart today to fit guards on the rad and the oil rad, put it back together and didn't have any bits left over. Sadly couldn't find anywhere interesting to take a photo so its by the side of the road in Basingstoke

  14. Not sure you will like it mate but she has got her heart set on a the new Kawasaki Ninja Z500 A2. One of my curmudgeon crew has one and she fell in love with it. . Mainly because it is small and light (164 kg) and they do a red and black one. I think a Honda CBR500R would be a better option for her but I do have a Honda thing, plus Dads know nothing.

  22. It is but the pictures do flatter it. The bike is no silk purse now, but is tidy and presentable and mechanically sound. I have to say the SW Motech crash bars have certainly played their part in protecting it and the exhaust has been beat to buggery as have all the plastics, a fresh coat of paint hides a lot. Shadow took it out yesterday and loved being back on two wheels although she came back after popping to her mates for an hour. Her shoulder is still sore, which is not a surprise. Her confidence is intact.

  23. Yes Im sure the other place...would have said...first we have to do a blood test...and ultrasound to check her heart and maybe a biopsy to check for cancer and probably and x ray for good mesure...the place looks and is identical to a modern day hospital for humans...

  24. Long story short....anyway from all of the ear scratching, her left eye got a real bad infection , had to wash it out almost every second day or the eye would shut completely with mucous...was using what I could find at the drug store , polisporine eye drops and ointment for the ear... It was around 11 am when the vet called her in to have a look..figure in my mind that was it...and she would recommend me to put her to sleep...she checked her heart and she could tell the dog was in pain...the Vet said look I have 3 surgery today, one of those I can wait for tomorrow...and I can remove what's in her ear but no guarantees...the dog is 13 years old...told her to go ahead and if the dog dies well ... It turned out to be polyps one large one and another smaller one further down the ear canal...she made it through like a champ and already almost back to normal today...that a pic from when I brought her back home..she was still a little bang up by the Anastasia..

  25. Shadow is home and safe in and a fair bit of pain but she will be fine in time, she will learn. In two years and 20,000 miles she has been down twice, her fault, and knocked off once, not her fault. I know I went down a few times at her age through being young and reckless so I am not too quick to judge her. I do trust her though she is good on a bike but still just 19 and thinks she is bullet proof.

  27. I don't know if you can all see the error message on screen now but either way I can no longer access the admin control panel and do not have server access so I have to say regretfully that it looks like the forum is coming to the end of its life. It's been a good run and I think we have honoured Pete by keeping it going this long. At some point in the not too distant future I suspect it will go dark so I'm giving you the heads up.

  28. Off again at last. Found plenty of shite in the float bowl. Needle valve looks fine, rubber still soft so fuck knows what's going on in there. The seat for the valve is tight and holds a vacuum with the valve in place and pressure come to that if I hold a finger over the hole. I'm going to reassemble with another new ethanol comp vale and see what happens. I may well cry a little if it doesn't cure the overflow and then burn the basted thing.

  29. Well she has but with more consequences this time. Off to A&E in the ambulance this time. Feared something broken in her right shoulder. Luckily the medics think not now but we are waiting for the all clear from radiology. She hyper flexed her shoulder which was explained to me as it popping out and then back in. Thank goodness she had all her gear on so the amour took the road rash although she does have a bit of a burn on her shoulder and knee. She has ligament and muscle damage with an expected recovery of 6 to 12 weeks. Ruined her jacket and bike jeans but we don’t care about that they did their job well. Not keen on seeing her rushed off in the ambulance but she will heal and be fine. She is gutted because she had to postpone her A2 test in November to next year. She avoided a common manhole cover that we all do but with to much vigor and the left foot peg dug in the hedge the momentum threw her off to the right. She reckons she was doing around 45 mph so really lucky she never hit anything. The police were good and helpful the Mrs and I were there within 10 minutes of the crash and luckily an off duty nurse got there before us. Her lying in the road is not something I would ever want to see again. But she is home and on the mend. Some one was watching over her yesterday that’s for sure. Anyway I’m currently sorting her bike yet again. These CB125F’s are surprisingly resilient. Only cosmetic damage again. I got the bent foot peg bar off and put it with her collection which has gone up to her uncle to be repaired.
