  1. Out mooching about on old faithful. Up Liskeard for a coffee at Checkered Flag, who are moving apparently, then a chemist run for my older daughter. Sometimes 50 miles solo is just what you need

  3. It looks well, prob better than Mandis as she never cleans it and I can't be arsed. Possible on the repair kit, I'm tempted to leave it while it's ok. It had sat for a couple of months so baffled how it got some air.

  4. Looking good for the age Saul. Mandis 2006 thou uses hydraulics for the clutch. We were going to go out last Saturday and as soon as she went to put it in gear said her clutch felt different. Outing cancelled and I had a little look to find if I clamped the pipe close to the slave cylinder the clutch lever was solid. Checked fluid level which was ok so undid the bleed nipple to get 1 bulb of air and all was well again. She took it to work Monday and said it was back to normal. Think a new slave is on the cards.

  6. Shit roads, blocked drains, pot holes, areas of the road surface just breaking up, metal inspection chamber covers 2 inches plus out of level with the road surface ( if there is one)… two big pot holes about 15 feet apart in our village been there for so long the white spray paint lines the highways chap paints around pot holes for repair had worn off, some helpful soul put a traffic cone in one of them, after 3-4 weeks of being hit and driven over the thing falls apart and another one gets put in the hole, 4 cones later someone spray painted petals around the hole with the cone and drew a stalk making it into a flower … Along comes the highways contractor and fills in the hole with the petals and ignores the other one the same size 15 feet away. After a few sarcastic comments online about council efficiency I got an email explaining that the one that got filled was considered dangerous so they filled it in. It was just as dangerous for the 4 months they ignored it as is the one next to it they have also been ignoring. Walking the dog today I saw the second one has now been converted into a flower. They just piss away the money we pay in taxes … Marcel, Canada isn’t the only place going to the dogs. I bet you don’t pay the equivalent of almost £2/litre for fuel

  8. A young man with his pants hanging half off his ass, two gold front teeth & a half inch thick gold chain around his neck, walked into the local welfare office to pick up his cheque He marched up to the counter and said, "Hi. You know, I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd really rather have a job, I don't like taking advantage of the System, getting something for nothing." The social worker behind the counter said "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur and bodyguard for his beautiful daughter. You'll have to drive around in his 2018 Mercedes-Benz CL & he will supply all of your clothes." "Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll also be expected to escort the daughter on her overseas holiday trips. This is rather awkward but you will also have to satisfy her sexual urges as the daughter is in her 20's and has a strong sex drive. The guy, wide-eyed, said,"You're bullshittin' me???" The social worker said, "Yeah, well . . . you started it.

  9. Tomorrow morning I ride off cross Northern Portugal, heading into Spain heading into Ireland. Here, I am looking at 40ºC, obviously hot and very dry, will probably be very warm coming back as well. In Ireland, South and South East, I will probably be in very wet conditions and not very warm, I might not be against it if the friends I'm visiting decide to stick to the inside of a pub. I just unpacked my bags to pack everything again later, what works here doesn't work there so I might break my rule abut luggage and bring an extra bag with proper touring boots and pants, plus visor with pinlock, to wear overseas instead of having to do rain over pants and over boots. I hate an extra bag to carry around but it might be worth it. Also maybe space to bring back a souvenir with the extra bag.
