  1. Past hour
  2. No snow here but it's bloody cold enough to.
  3. Today
  4. I found a replacement BMW K100 tank of the correct year on eBay close to me and it seems pretty good and was a reasonable price. I need to strip the paint off of it so I can check if it got any filler in it and get a better look at the lower shoulders as the things seem to always leak there. BMW used one tank format from 83-86 and then changed in 86 to a slightly different design with a different fuel level sender, a diff size fuel pump and different tank fixing points. The latter type are more freely available and I had also tracked one of those down as I wasn’t sure I could find one of the earlier type. Using it would mean more welding for different fixings and I’ve decided I’d rather use the original earlier design if I can. I’ve picked up the tank but need to strip the paint off of it. I’d rather not sand it off as it’s a pain in the arse. Anyone got any experience on aluminium with using Nitromores ?
  5. And just like that....Winter finally showed up here as well.... Pretty wet snow at 29f....gotta go rinse off the satellite dish to get a bit better reception....
  6. Since its a snow day , I've deceided to watch mad max (79) ...nothing like a motorcycle and V8 movie waiting for this snow to melt , found it on tubi for free , still trying to find 2 , the only I can find is a French version. ..wich totally sucks..lol....a good 10cm has fallen, still coming down...
  7. Manky engine casings, next job on the list.
  8. Another dusting overnight, light snow for the day , supposed to end by 8 pm..
  9. Oh just read that again, do tell Lyn
  10. Yesterday
  11. TBH 10 miles of the 12 mile trip were 20/30/40 mph speed limits so the 125 was fine. Light and easy to throw around. The 600 is a perfect all rounder fast enough, nimble enough, warm enough, comfy enough. Of course there is better in every way but for mooching around built up areas in 4c it’s perfect
  12. How was it getting off you're 125 and on to shadows big bike
  13. 1800miles since last MOT on bike, 8k miles in the mx5
  14. Hey @busabeast....how many miles have you covered since the last MOT?
  15. I know I sound like a stuck record ....but I think I will try the scoot on Marketplace again next month. I just looked at my mileage from the past MOT, s I did 350 miles up to the last MOT, the year before I covered 180 miles!
  16. I set about insuring the Clio from today with my present insurer....£345 F/C.............. if I insure from Friday (20th)..... £290 F/C ........ guess which iam choosing ?
  17. Well Shadow hasn’t been out on her bike for two months or more so I am taking it out every couple of weeks to keep the battery up and give it a run. Actually dry this morning, it won’t last, so did the 12 mile loop out around Par Moor and St Blazey. When I got back decided to do the same loop on the CBF. You don’t have to go far or fast for that 2 wheeled smile.
  18. Last week
  19. Looks like we're finally due for some snow tonight....I'll believe it when I see it. Since Mrs. Hook seems to have come down w/ a pesky sinus issue, I decided to do a load of her laundry for her...BUT not before I got a much needed session on the Mullet in before the precip starts falling....
