Buckster Posted Monday at 17:33 Share Posted Monday at 17:33 I have not used breakdown insurance for years but I always have it as recovery is mega expensive. This year I have gone back to Start Rescue, last two years the RAC gave me good rates but they were silly money this year. I opted for personal cover as my car is over 20 years old. Also most companies require dealer service records or they can refuse service, Start Rescue just require the vehicle to be roadworthy and are fine with people like me who home service. Who else has breakdown insurance and who do you use?
Saul Posted Monday at 18:22 Share Posted Monday at 18:22 AA at the moment, my car is 24 years old and I home service plus one of my bikes is 28 and another is 19. I used it last year when I put diesel in my CBF and the chap who came out was as good as gold. The office not so much. I’m probably going to change depending on what sort of cover I can get. Pedro Posted Monday at 19:25 Share Posted Monday at 19:25 I do, Zurich premium recovery. Ever since the 1150 broke down in Morocco, they were very good. Here in Portugal, I was told it’s the same few companies that manage recovery for all insurance companies so it should be the same. I still keep being with Zurich on the bikes. Catteeclan Posted yesterday at 05:56 Share Posted yesterday at 05:56 We have always jumped between the main 3 but I hear they're all pretty crap now with very long waits. Haven't ever had to use them.
