Buckster Posted Thursday at 06:54 Share Posted Thursday at 06:54 I'm fighting flu this week but I got started on my cam chest service while the weather is good. Removed the pushrods and lifters, I stripped the old lifters and one was very sticky, two were a bit sticky and one was fine. I cut the pushrods out with a bolt cutter after unloading them. Unfortunately I couldn't find my cam lock block so I had to stop there, one should arrive today. Also one of the lifter blocks is badly corroded so I am ordering a Preloved replacement off fleabay. While I am on I will be cleaning and lacquering the engine fins and touching up the black on the engine and transmission.

Surprising how often that works, especially when they’ve had it on for an age.

Because I was putting adjustable ones in otherwise I would need to remove the rocker arms.
