Cam chest service

I'm fighting flu this week but I got started on my cam chest service while the weather is good. Removed the pushrods and lifters, I stripped the old lifters and one was very sticky, two were a bit sticky and one was fine. I cut the pushrods out with a bolt cutter after unloading them.

Unfortunately I couldn't find my cam lock block so I had to stop there, one should arrive today.

Also one of the lifter blocks is badly corroded so I am ordering a Preloved replacement off fleabay.

While I am on I will be cleaning and lacquering the engine fins and touching up the black on the engine and transmission.

Picked up some lifter blocks on fleabay, put in a lowball offer and it was accepted.

Surprising how often that works, especially when they’ve had it on for an age.
