It's gonna be so nice out that I'm going for a ride!!!

Oh yeah, we have lots of 200 miles long stretches of road with no services, really gotta plan out your fuel stops. Not much of anything out there. And it gets worse into Utah, Wyoming and Montana. Have been on trips where others have run out of fuel as their bikes don't have very good range.

I have no idea. Most state borders have rivers or mountains defining them. That square area must be the random lines that were sold / stolen way back when. Nothing there except the town of Amarillo - I have a bike trip scheduled to go there in late April - if I can get the bike out. I shall endeavor to find out why it is shaped like that.

Attacked livestock and pets in the area. Just a matter of time before it goes after a child or adult. They are relocated once and if they come back they're killed to prevent loss of life to others. Sad but has to be done. Same is done with bears here.

No kidding. So many threads - makes the search function about worthless. Needs to be pared down a bit.

Not for sport - to keep them from attacking livestock and pets mostly. They'll attack humans as well. We've had a huge spike in the number of attacks around here lately. I see their tracks in the snow in my yard all the time - hate like Hell to meet up with one in the yard some night.

Local guy shot and killed a cat in our area. He's a 6'5" tall former football player for the Denver Broncos; so that's a big cat!

I've been on adv rider for 20 years and probably Horizons as well - I'll try to log in as you did - if I can - and see. Doubt I ever posted there though. edit: Almost 20 years - a few months to go . 3 whole posts too!
