Earache

Saved the night with a few old reliables at the hotel bar though. Cheap as chips here in Indy as compared to back home. $5 a bottle here and $8 in Colorado...

Dinner was burgers at a local spot last night - nothing spectacular there. Had a bourbon barrel aged beer with dinner. Worst shit I ever had. Trendy beer with a weird flavor of honey, vanilla and bourbon. 11% alcohol was nice though. Since they messed up our order, we got a free round of the same beers. So I had to drink 2 of these crap beers. $12 a bottle too - not worth it.

I don't really care about the costs - it's just a pain to have to stop so often. I think maybe they're made for older guys who don't ride at higher speeds that affect the mileage so much. Can't think of any other reason why it'd have such a small tank and limited range.

Out for dinner and beers in a bit - will try to get some pics if anything seems interesting. More later.......

But, made it to Indy and stopped to see my buddy Clint. The Ferrari that we brought back from Texas last year is going to paint this week. Then he'll do the final assembly in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to see it done ...

Bought fuel, fuel and more fuel today. This really gets tedious on a long ride....

A few hours later, stopped to catch the sunrise. Looked better than yesterday, but still not too bright....

Had to fill me up as well. Dining al fresco next to the bike....

First stop was the QT Mart to fill up the thirsty pig. First of many fill ups today...

On the bike at 4:30 this morning. The good news is - it didn't float away after last nights rain....

Just wheeled into Indianapolis . Destination i9n Ohio is only 4 hours away so that'll be easy. Tonight is gonna be tough - out to dinner and drinks with my buddies here in town for the night.

Nah - normal waking hours for me. It's 4:15 AM now as I'm headed out the door. Horrible rains storms here last night - hope the bike didn't float away!

Up early again tomorrow to ride to Indianapolis. Should be about 500 miles so it'll be an easier day tomorrow. More pics later as they happen ......

Landed in Kansas City for the night - some 650 miles after leaving home. It's 93F / 34C here - felt hot as shit to me. Great view out the of the room ...

Stopped for a pee at a rest area and the Kansas Welcome Wagon pulled in behind me. But he was there to hassle a truck driver about something and paid little attention to me...

Breakfast stop - what had to be the worst muffin in the free World...

Stopped awhile later to take a pic of the sunrise - but the Sun was having trouble shining through all of the smoke in the air from Canadian forest fires...

Got out at 4:00 AM for the ride towards Ohio today. 37F outside so it was a bit chilly. Of course the Big Red Pig had to have a drink first thing today ....

I know it looks like a death march at times - but there are good distances to be covered to get to various places here. Ya pretty much have to do the big miles to get to your destination. Next week's ride to Ohio and back will be 5,000 miles. But it has to be done if I wanna meet the wifey in Ohio.
