Thanks Bob. My trip back up north just a few weeks ago provided just the right spot. After driving over 1000 kms and then canoeing out into a very remote area for a few hours I found a spot under some trees in a quiet bay. The turquoise water, surrounding trees, seasonal birds, jumping fish....I think (hope) my Mom likes her final resting place. We had one last picnic together before I placed her is her resting spot. It felt right and has given me closure.

Yeah.....finally had a connection long enough to finish my July video and blog! We woke up on July 1st, Canada Day, in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. Not exactly where I thought we would be at this time, but we were here for a good reason. You see, we couldn’t have it both ways, either we buy a home on land or a home on wheels, both were not an option, we had to choose one. Saskatoon would be the place to decide this and it would change everything. A new home on wheels and a quest to find a beautiful resting spot for my Mom, this was July, with lots of trees, water and stunning places in-between. It was and I had no idea if I would like the lifestyle when I set off. Now, let’s see how much fun I am having when winter comes to Canada….. Hoping I still have a smile on face come February….

I am loving every day, still a bit shocked this is my life.

I’m camped just outside a medium sized city which is strange but fun. Getting lots done, vehicle maintenance, buying some supplies and just staying in one place for a few days. Going for a long hike tomorrow and maybe a swim! Have a lovely weekend everyone.

I agree 100% BUT, the YouTube shorts format is only vertical and they are all I seem to have time for right now. It is annoying, but I like to share the pretty stuff. That is why I make my own videos, to do the right thing.

Nice, but I think you should model it for us! I found my Scorpion helmet to be loud on the highways...but maybe with your big head you won't notice such things......

I am with you on the flip flops, time and place, which is almost never.....

You know you are Number 1!!!! My biggest fan for sure......

I wear Birkenstocks all the time and like them better with socks. More comfy around the house than full shoes....and I can still go outside in a flash!

Thanks, I appreciate that not many people have time for such things. Just the thought that you will try is nice.... I would tell you my plans but then that would be a spoiler for the 1.5 people on here that are following along.....

Oh yes, going North that is a concern. They are very active right now as well. I have lived around Black Bears for years and they are not what I worry about. The grizzly bears are another matter, I will do my best not to get eaten... I have seen a few bears on my journey so far, but never too close for comfort.

Oh yes....good point, don't run around in the thunder & lighting trying to get a photo....

It was recently brought to my attention that people still feel that wearing socks with sandals is an odd thing. Never understood this, I figure whatever is comfortable can not be wrong.....or is it just me?

My travels are taking me north again. . Tonight and tomorrow I am camped at yet another beautiful lake, tucked into the forest for shade from the warm weather. I am excited as the weather people are calling for a crazy summer storm tonight with thunder and lightening, which will break the heat hopefully. I love summer storms! Then on Sunday I hit the road and start getting back into the mountains.

That's how I roll I was waiting for someone to mention that. Funny how that really gets some people, who the hell made that rule anyway, who ever it was could not have been Canadian. Toes get cold, sandals are comfy, end of story...
