I have seen many different animal crossing signs in my travels, but this one was a first…

The coast normally gets a week or two of snow, sometimes it can stick around, but not for long. We are ready to be winterized if needed. …… now watch the coat have record snowfalls this year….

We found a spot in the middle of the Sunshine Coast. We lived on the lower part of the coast so we didn’t want to be in that area again. This is the best place to spend a Canadian winter for sure. We found a small privately owned bit of land that has a few RV hook up spots and is empty in the winter, except for the colourful locals. The owner is really chilled and is only asking for a bit of rent, super deal. It is also an area where we can canoe and hike all winter, should be perfect. It’s going to be interesting to stop traveling though, after 5 months on the road. I am looking forward to making a few movies over the winter of all the footage I have collected. We expect to settle into our winter spot near the end of October. The plans for next Spring are already in motion as we will be back on the road as soon as the snow starts to melt. …..this does mean I will be around here more often to annoy everyone for a few months…

Just left a spot we had been camped at for a week. A super beautiful forest on Vancouver Island. The trees were changing daily and the colours are starting to look rather lovely.

Sure do…. Maybe I could carry one on the back of the van???

That’s awesome!! You look like you were having fun, and why not, great opportunity. It was the same for me, almost 50 and I wanted a challenge, which learning to ride off road on my Himalayan gave me. I am a better person for pushing through my fears that’s for sure. You look good in that gear too!

Thanks I sold the Honda along with everything else I owed..... I do miss riding, but now that I am driving my 4Runner every day I am getting my fix of driving which is good for me right now.

The bike looks good in the pics. I'm sure you have talked about it already, but I'm out of touch as you know......So, how do you like the Honda?

I am in a beautiful place, but unfortunately the surrounding forest fires have blanketed the area with a heavy amount of smoke. Just glad I have not been too close to any fires. Came a bit too close about a week ago, scary stuff.

Thanks Bob. My trip back up north just a few weeks ago provided just the right spot. After driving over 1000 kms and then canoeing out into a very remote area for a few hours I found a spot under some trees in a quiet bay. The turquoise water, surrounding trees, seasonal birds, jumping fish....I think (hope) my Mom likes her final resting place. We had one last picnic together before I placed her is her resting spot. It felt right and has given me closure.
