If I stayed in a place like that I would still sleep in my sleeping bag, maybe even on the floor...... Hotel beds scare the heck out of me and beds are too soft.... It would also be too hot and stuffy in there..... Give me a tent any day.....

I also find myself in a similar position now, without a dog the world has opened up and it's a bit freaky.... Travelling is the plan.... Someone already mentioned the heavy weight low and the light high, but also remember to think about what you pack on the exhaust side. I saw someone once pack their camp stove and fuel too close and well, you can imagine. Excited for you and your new adventures.

Well, managed to get the driveway cleared yesterday and got out for some food and beverages. The snow is sticking around, which is weird, and now they are calling for more today..... By the end of the winter I will have super big shovelling muscles.....

Started the New Year off right with a lovely long hike and found where the elk had been sleeping. I had forgotten how hiking without an old dog can be, I can go so much faster and further. I can track the animals in silence.....cool ...and not worry about the dog eating poop.....lol Funny enough, I went looking for the Elk, found where they had slept, but didn't bump into them until I was almost home, right in my yard.....lol

Happy New Year Everyone! Midnight is still several hours away for me, but there is no way I am staying up that late..... So I will wish you all a great 2022 with some tea by the fire. I am looking forward to 2022 very much, it is going to be filled with lots of new adventures. I wish you all the same, with a lot of smiles along the way!

Does look like a nice day for a ride! Funny, we have only had snow for a little over a week, but I feel like it has been longer since I've seen clear roads.....lol

Wellll, I don't think I will be going far today. We are having very unusual amounts of snow, and it is sticking around, which it never does.... This was my driveway this morning.... Poor little bikes.....and I can't even get to the garage tent to work, not like I want too in below freezing temps...... Looks like a day of shovelling, which is really good exercise and keeps you in shape..... I got some new boots and gaiters too, so I am good to go..... The sun is also out which is really nice!!!! But that also concerns me, my rain chain and become a scary unit hanging off my house, if it starts to melt it might fall off, hopefully not through a window.....

What a lucky girl I am.....
